sera, what happened to your peep toe shoe "problem"? I picked up my wedding shoes today, they are peep toe, and I have the same problem you were talking about. I bought "strappy strips", which I think is what you bought and were going to try. Did it work?

Well, I did get some and then when I tried on the shoe with them, the stupid adjustable slingback strap broke! It wasn't sewn in properly on one of the shoes and I wasn't going to risk another pair that might break after a few wears.

I ended up exchanging them for these Easy Spirits. They are elastic with a patent wedge and thingie on top. Love them.

I did use the strips and they cut down on the rubbing, but they don't stick perfectly so will need to be readjusted from time to time. If the shoes are tight to begin with, it will make them a bit tighter, though are squishy so don't add a lot of bulk. I also got some for the heels of a pair of elastic back ballets that dig into my heel... they work well. One problem is that if you're walking in a dusty area (I work at an elementary school and am on the playground), then the dust can make them unstick. They are reusable, not permanent.

I also got some Dr. Scholls stuff for the same thing (you tear off strips like tape) but haven't used it yet.

ETA: I wore the strips on my white, flat peeps around the house and thought they would work but haven't yet put them to the true test. I'll wear them tomorrow and let you know how they worked.

Sooooo I just got home after trying the Dr. Scholl''s tape... it might have been fine if I had been wearing the shoes part of the day, but they started getting moved by the rubbing. They are much thinner than the strips but still have some cushioning- they stay on better too.

I will give the shoes one more chance with the tape... if it doesn''t work, I''m getting rid of them. I think the tape would work really well on a heel... but on this particular peep of a peep toe wedge there''s just too much movement/pressure- I think it would work on different pairs.
