I really dont want to go to a photographer, and this pic was taken of my bf and I at his work party and it came out so well, that Id rather use this than spend the money for professional e pics. I cropped it a bit--do you think it''s ok for an official e pic? We''re not engaged yet (that ring is a blue topaz 1ct in a lucern setting that I had made up a few years ago, not diamond), but we prob will be within the next couple months...I hate the way my hand is positioned b/c it looks kinda limp though...

Very cute picture....I think it''d be perfect for an e-pic. If you don''t like how your hand is positioned, just crop more off the bottom....that way it wouldn''t show that your finger doesn''t have an e-ring on it yet either. Here''s hoping to "girl soon" for your engagement!

SweetPea, you''re so pretty! As for the pic being the engagement pic, I don''t see why not. You might want to photoshop the redeye out though, and keep in mind that most people don''t notice little details like how your hand is positioned. Remember, we are our own worst critc.

I think you look cute! No reason not to, though if you change your mind you could always go to some place like Glamour Shots as a less expensive alternative to hiring a professional. You could also go to your local University and see which Photo majors there are and have them do your pictures, and for way less then someone who has their degree already.

I like the picture too! I think its really cute and would be appropriate as an engagement pic!

good idea mat!!

Sweetpea, I think it''s a very nice picture to use. You two are a good looking couple!

We used a candid shot for our engagement picture also. Hey, if you love the picture, why not use it? You could also see if your photographer will throw in a free engagement sitting if you haven''t already booked them. Ours offered one, but we never ended up getting it because we already had one we liked. I think oftentimes you can wheel and deal with them a little to see what they can do for you.

Sweetpea! You are such a cutie! You two look so sweet together! I think the picture can do for an engagement photo. My boyfriend, whoops I mean fiance and I aren''t even doing engagement photo announcements. Do we have to? Is it needed? Hrm....prob not. I think the photo looks great! I would crop out the hand part so people won''t wonder why the ring is on the wrong finger, even though that is NOT the ring.

It''s not too obvious that his two front teeth are temporaries is it? Soon he''s getting his crowns but the temps kinda looks slateish (dentist (my dad) made the temporaries thick on purpose b/c he plays hockey and rugby and gets the temps knocked out all the time--he''ll have to take it easy when he gets the perms put on)

E pics aren''t manditory, but I did want a nice pic of the two of us to send relatives and to put in my hometown paper...if you use a dig camera and shutterfly, it''s really cheap to order pics and you can crop them yourself...

sweetpea,
i didn''t even notice his teeth until you mentioned something, i doubt that anyone else will either.

Not at all! I definately would have not noticed had you not said anything and I am still not sure that I see anything. And in a paper with it being black and white I doubt anyone would be able to tell.

Sweetpea, I think that pic is great, and entirely appropriate for use as an engagement pic!!!

However, if you''re not completely satisfied, here''s another cost-saving idea: get your man, a camera, and a friend or relative, and stage your own engagement photo session!! Have the friend take tons of pics of you two, and you''re bound to come out with one you like and want to use as an engagement pic, especially since you and your man are so photogenic!!!

Hi Sweetpea. You two are such a cute pair! I think your photo will work great for an e-photo. Yes, I would crop it down so your hands are out and maybe even your purse. Oh and you could make it black and white, sometimes I think it can make a regular photo look more professional. Hmmm, let me try... hehe, I hope you don''t mind my editing your photo, but here''s an idea... I also tried to take out that light above.

I think it looks great the way sunkist cropped the pic for you. Perfect! What a cute couple...Here''s to hoping this picture can be used soon!

that pic is really cute- esp how sunkist cropped it. if you love it, why not?!

I highly DOUBT we are having e-pics taken either. I am hoping a cute candid will happen during x-mas. I think this is PERFECT. You both look great. Use the extra money you save on the rings

What a great pic. You guys are soo cute.
I really like what sunkist did with it!

I for one don''t think a forrmal e-pic sitting is necessary. My Fiance and I took a couple of pics the day he proposed (it was a Kodak moment!) We''re hoping to take more during our casual Engagement Celebration in January.

Hehe, Sweetpea, that is EXACTLY what I thought when I read ChargerGrrl''s post!!!

And I think the picture is sooo cute, I would definitely go with that one since you love it!

Hi Sweetpea!

I think that picture is great! You and your BF make a great looking couple. I also really like the picture cropped a bit and put in black and white, like another girl posted for you. It does look a bit more formal, if that''s the look you''re going for.

Remember to take lots of pictures during holiday parties, etc. in the next couple of weeks. I''m sure one of those will come out really cute too so you may be able to use one -- if it''s not too Christmassy.

Sweetpea, you gorgeous girl, I think that pic looks great! (especially the way sunkist cropped it) It would make a wonderful engagement photo. You & your bf make a handsome couple.
