Can someone please help me price this?

I received this ring in a trade with @MakingTheGrade. She’s lovely, the ring is lovely, but it’s not something I’ve worn and I have my eye on something else haha

Can someone help me price it? Because I traded Hazel for it, and received this ring and some money, I’m not sure what a fair price would be. I’m happy to give a PSer a good deal.

The ring seems to be a replica of a Penny Preville design. While I don’t normally go for replicas, it’s a pretty design and 14k white gold with diamonds. The real one goes for $8000 in 18k. (https://www.shetlerfinejewelers.com/catalog/penny-preville/r6022w/)

This ring is not worth nearly that amount haha so please help me out!

Oh that’s a good idea! Appraisals cost me $85 though… not wanting to add that extra to the price if I don’t have to

Another way is to calculate the cost of gold and diamond and add 30%.

Even in a trade transaction, the ring must have been accorded some dollar value, yes? And, maybe get back to @MakingTheGrade to re-confirm the diamond specs/total carat weight? I know, sometimes our minds go blank when it comes to letting go of pieces, but if you go back to the value you assigned it at the time you acquired it, market check current value re: diamonds and metal value, consider your preferred timeline to sell it, factor in your savvy as a seasoned PSer who has bought and sold on the preloved market ... voila, a price will come to you, I have faith!

I’m sorry to say I’m terrible at keeping documentation for these things unless it’s a gia or ags or official report. I don’t tend to keep receipts or spreadsheets as a private consumer. Sadly I got that ring such a long time ago I don’t remember any details . I can try to see if I maybe made a PS thread though! That’s usually what I do when I resell something and need details haha. I rely on hoping my old self was excited to share and posted details and specs.

I’m probably not looking to trade unless you have a gold chain necklace, Gucci/mariner link haha… that’s what I have my eye on.
