79642939-DF23-4749-BE7F-49C274F65330.jpeg I have the sweetest little tanzanite ring that I used to wear daily. However now it looks terrible! The stone is all scratched up. Can this be buffed or fixed somehow? Thank you!

I don't know about your stone specifically, but I know Doug Menaude of bespoke gems (see "trusted vendor" list) does polishing/buffing for older stones. He's incredibly nice, so it's worth sending him an email with pics to see what he thinks. He's in AUS, but I've never had a problem and have worked with him on multiple occasions.

I second this. Doug is great to work with and polishing/buffing is part of his core business.
I have worked with him three times for custom cutting projects as a long distance customer from Europe

A good lapidary will make your tanzanite look like new!

I am more concerned about you wearing your tanzanite ring on a daily basis. Whoever sold it to you should have told you that tanzanites are not a durable stone and should be worn with caution otherwise they will get scratched, chipped, and abraided.

It was a gift from my MIL, but yes I still should have known better! I rode about 6 horses a day plus barn work with it . I am also the same person that just about lost an unheated 9.5 ct Burmese sapphire and let it roll around loose in my jewelry box for years thinking it was probably too big to be real lol.
