Well, I can''t sleep again,
but this time it''s out of totaly EXCITEMENT!
I''ve been so busy, I haven''t had a chance to put together a collection of pics. I can do that now, at 3:00 in the morning.
I''ll sleep on the plane to St. Thomas. It will be the first time I''ve flown first class! How fun!
Here''s a quick collection of pics. Looking back on them, I thought I had so many more planning pics than I do, guess I just a have a few to share/

Here we are. This was last summer taken at this time, when we went on our planning excursion to the USVI. We''re at the airport and ready to go.

Note that he is a red-head! Poor guy LOVES the cold. I know he''d rather get married on a ski slope in January than on an island in July, but he''s such a great sport.
Here''s where we''re going. St. John, in the Virgin Islands. We chose the USVI for several reasons, but the big one is that it''s a tribute to my mother who passed away while I was in college. St. John was her favorite place in the world. Marrying here sort of conjures her spirit. I cannot wait to have my brothers all there again (we used to visit when we were so much younger.)

This picture is taken from one of the hiking trails about Cruz Bay

Here''s the cute ferry that will take us to our resort, after we get our marriage liscense in St. Thomas. Hope I can manage carrying my wedding dress on here!

These are the gifts that I''m giving to my girls. They are the St. Croix hook bracelets. Something special from the islands. The hook points in the direction that you want your luck and love to flow. As I type, mine is pointing towards me. I need all the luck and love I can get.

The girls also recieved a day back pack for hiking the island trails, and some flip flops to wear with their dresses. Each girl picked out her own dress in some shade of blue.
The guys will be wearing tan suits. I never took a pic of my guy in his suit. That''s because he wouldn''t let me.
He gave his guys flip flops to wear, a day pack, and hankies with their intials printed on them to wipe their brows in the HEAT!

Because we''re having a DW, all of our guests (65 of them!!!!) will be coming to our rehearsal dinner. It''s going to be held here in this super cute restaurant in Cruz Bay. It was actually the ONLY restaurant big enough to accomodate our whole party!~~~~on a side note, we really tried to do the DW route to make our numbers smaller, while this wedding is smaller than it would have been in Atlanta... it''s much bigger than we actually planned! Darn our friends and their love of a good trip!! (lol)

The actuall wedding is on Monday. Heck, when you''re in the islands you can get married on whatever day you choose. This is the spot. Try to picture it with a bamboo chupa with white flowers and flowing material.

Here I am with my AMAZING wedding planner. She is demonstrating what my walk down the ailse will be like. I can''t even really imagine what it will REALLY be like, with all the people that I love sitting there...
Okay... tears... tee hee...

Here we are in the spot where we will be married. Wish you could see the crystal blue water just below us. Strange note. This picture was taken in February. The other pictures were taken in July. Note the difference in the color of the grass. Things are so much greener there in the summer because it''s much more HUMID!

Our cocktail reception will be held at these sugar mill ruins just below the restaurant where our reception is. There will be torches lit and a steel pan player playing. Wish I had a better picture!

Here''s the walk up to the reception restaurant. It''s the rotunda of an old sugar mill. So beautiful.

Here''s what the inside looks like. We''ll have round tables with very simple hurricane lantern centerpieces. At night the lights of St. Thomas twinkle in the background.

I actually thought I had more pics of my jewelry than this, but oh well.
I''m keeping it really simple. When I was a little girl, I wore an aquamarine rinig that used to belong to my grandmother. We actually had the ring sized to my finger in St. Croix on my first trip to the Virgin Islands. I''ve had it reset into a pendent.
It''s my something old, something blue.
My dad just recently gave me two more that I had set into earrings that also belonged to that same grandma.

And here''s my beautiful dress.
I love it more than I could even imagine! I''m looking at it hanging in its garment bag ready to go. Wow, it never seemed like we''d actually be going on this trip, but then this month FLEW past!

I''m not going to wear a veil, and probably going to just wear my hair down with a simple flower, that''s more my style.
My toenail never really grew back (lol!) but I''ve managed to make it look somewhat real down there! Knock on wood that I don''t do something else totally clumsy before Monday.

This has been so much fun! Thanks for taking he time to look. I won''t be posting for a long while, as the resort where we will be wed doesn''t have phones in the rooms, let alone computer access. I''ll check back in after our wedding-moon, but don''t think I won''t be thinking about all of you.

Thanks so much everyone, for all of your support! I''ve learned so much here on PS!

Maybe I can try to sleep a couple more hours before the alarm goes off.

Tybee

I wish that many friends were coming to ours, sounds like a blast. We really like St John too. It was one of our choices for our wedding, but we wanted to do it somewhere in the Caribbean that we had not been yet, so Antigua it is! Good luck! I can''t wait to see the pictures when you get back.

Oh Tybee, I''m so excited for you!!! Everything looks amazing. You are very organized!!!

My friends got married in Puerto Rico because they wanted to have a "small" wedding and 80 people ended up coming!!! I think it''s great that you are getting such a good turnout--it sounds like the right number so it won''t be too out of control and you''ll be able to spend real time with each of your guests. And I agree will ellaila that it''s so special that you''re honoring your mother and getting married in her favorite place.

Wow, I just realized I''m kind of teary eyed! I''m thrilled for you and can''t wait to hear all about it when you get back! Have a wonderful time, enjoy yourself, take time to breathe it all in and don''t sweat the small stuff. All the planning is totally worth it in the end. I wish you all the best! Congratulations!!!!

Oh, Tybee, this is so exciting!

Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful photos. I''m glad putting this together made you feel calmer & am so happy I was able to be of help during your planning process. It was such fun sharing my wedding stuff with you & I''ve really enjoyed hearing all about your plans & getting to know you a bit. Your FI is getting a really special wife!
face23.gif

Your wedding is going to be amazing! St. John looks absolutely stunning & all of your venues (wedding site, rehearsal dinner, reception, etc.) are beautiful. I can''t believe you''re having 65 people! That''s amazing & a huge crowd for a DW.

I love your aquamarine jewelry. How wonderful that the stones belonged to your grandmother. I too wore blue jewelry (blue topaz) & loved how they reminded me of the Caribbean sea. I think they looked nice in the photos too & were a bit more casual than diamonds or pearls.

I''m glad your toenail is doing ok. I''m sure there won''t be any close-ups of your feet anyway!
3.gif
I think mine is pretty much back now (my second toe--it took nearly 3 months to grow back), but it''s a different texture than my other nails. Oh well.

I think you made a good call ditching the veil. I saw one bride wearing one in Jamaica & she was fighting with it throughout the entire ceremony. (They''re also hot in the tropics!) I think your hair down with a flower in it will look beautiful.

I think you''ll be pleased with how your Maggie travels. I kept mine in a garment bag & hung it in the first class closet. (Though, unlike you, I flew coach!) I''d brought along a travel garment steamer to steam the dress before the wedding, but it arrived without a wrinkle. (Gotta love synthetic fabrics) Again, you look absolutely amazing in your dress! You''re going to be such a stunning bride! I can''t wait to see your wedding pics!

Ok, I''m rambling. I''m just so excited for you! Have a wonderful time, enjoy every minute & I can''t wait to hear all about it when you return home.

Congratulations in advance, Mrs. Tybee & safe travels.

Congratulations Tybee!

Everything sounds perfect and wonderful! I LOVE your dress! Love your aquamarine jewelry from your grandma! Love the site, the water, the red-headed man, the tan suits! It will be perfect!

I wish you the best of luck, no clumsy toe crushing moments and Remember to take it all in. Don''t worry about the little insignificant things, just smile, breathe, smell the smells, take a snap shot of special moments in your head, because the day zips by and before you know it you and your HUSBAND are hugging goodbye to your guests and off the the "moon".

Have a wonderful wonderful time and send pictures soon!

-Janna
