Can''t Sleep

Hi all,
It''s 3:00 am and I''m wide awake so I thought I''d share my story. FI have been together for 11 years - engaged sinced Dec 06 with no set wedding date. Last week I found out I am expecting our first child. We figured now''s a good time as any to get married so next week we''re headed to Reno with 2 other couples. I already have my dress, shoes, ring and we picked up his ring and ordered his tux last night. Now I''m up stressing about all the little details

I want to get the 2 girls coming with me a small gift. I know it won''t be the nicest gift but we are pressed for time and $. Which would you prefer the compact or the heart box?

I lurk on the pregnancy thread and I saw that you''re expecting. How exciting! Congratulations! I think both gift ideas are great ones. I like the compact a little more -- it seems more practical. Both are very pretty though!

As for the gift ideas, I agree that the compact is more practical so I prefer that one too. I assume you''re having them engraved? A few weeks ago, a friend was looking into having something similar done for an anniversary, and she said it was going to be over $50! She went with a 45th anniversary frame we found on ebay for a fraction of the cost.

Anyway, I don''t mean to complicate your life with a new suggestion, but maybe a simple pretty necklace would be a great gift too, and potentially less expensive. I was in a friend''s wedding 8 yrs or so ago. She gave the girls a very simple necklace that I still wear to this day.

I was looking at this site the other day. Someone posted it on here a while back. I would love something like this:

I know you probably don''t have time to order something on-line, but maybe you could find something less expensive than the engraving store at a near by shop.

Thanks for all the responses. I originally was going to go with the compact but then a coworker suggested the box so that made me second guess my choice. I actually asked about the engraving and it was very reasonable.

This has been a stressful week but everything seems to be coming together. Thanks again.
