For tapered baguette setting for an emerald cut, which is better- casting or hand forged?

Casting is over 2k from ERD. can you recommend other vendors that make EXCELLENT casting?

THANKS

ERD is a good choice for a cast piece. I see no reason to need handforged with that particular setting. I am quite sure Tiffany doesn't make theirs by handforging.

Vatche makes a setting in that style and they have great quality. Let me see if I can find a picture for you.

Thank you diamond seeker!
I'm just wondering if there is another vendor that does fine casting. Vatche only makes hand forged?

Yoni at Eternity by Yoni does Castings and is very reasonable in his pricing. I'd give him a look, tell him Josh R. recommended you to him. I have two more pieces being made by him now. I brought my fiancee's ER to get appraised for insurance to a independent appraiser that's been in the business for YEARS and used to be active on the board a lot (until she got too busy with all her local work/businesses). She was blown away by the quality of the setting.

No, high quality cast but I think the heads are custom made for the size of your stone. I found it but it is likely going to be higher than what you already have since it is $4k including the diamonds.

Is the ring maker sourcing your baguettes?

You could try Caysie van Bebber and David Klass. They may be less than ERD. You can search on here and see some of their work.
