I was supposed to be. But I had made an impulse purchase a while ago, and it turns out it won't work for me. However, it should work well for my friend, so she's getting that, and I'm getting something in exchange. But the impulse purchase I had made a few months ago has been sitting at my jeweler's pretty much since I got it, and I finally came to a decision on it.

So that should be done next week (fingers crossed).
I got my anniversary present from my husband, but it needed a minor alteration, so I just got that back from the jewelers yesterday.
And, I think that I might have two items in the works, but until those are set in stone (hah!), I don't want to jinx anything.

I'm really getting tired of my setting indecision, so I'm probably going to sit on any and all loose stones for a while, and maybe go back to custom settings. Secondhand has not been working so well for me lately.

Were you even talking to me? I'm in sickness induced brain fog, and I've been preoccupied with this stuff lately, so you get to hear about it!

I got 3 new-to-me-rings this month, I finally see the appeal of cabs and of spesses!
Now I'm just waiting on my spess from gene to get here and then it's mini photo shoot time!

Can't help post a few pics of the spess ring from Maried Tiger, will take more (and in daylight) when my gene spess arrives as well. But really this stone is a lady of the night, in low light it just glows like it's on fire!

Can't believe I missed this post the first time around. So it was you! I saw the black tourmaline pendant on Sally's sold page and wondered who made such a unique piece. and also the beautiful alex, and that absolutely scrumptious tourmaline! Did you ever post hand shots of your goodies? (I'm trying to see if I can find them on the site Hope you are wearing them in good health~~

I just looked through my drawers, well most of them.
I have 124 cut colored stones that are not melee,
most of which are precision cut but quite a few naive.
Another 200+ that are uncut.
I ought to stop,
yet I am unsatisfied

I got the jump on this spess from Gene. Drool..might finally be the pure bright spess I've been looking for! I've gotten and returned quite a few through the times, I'm hoping this one is a keeper. It's bigger in size than I usually go but I'm hoping the color will convince me to be a little showy. Hehe. I actually also have MariedTiger's spess ring on the way. So either way I'll finally own a spess!

It's here, and it's SO. Perfectly. Orange!!! I'm so excited that I finally found my little fanta spess. I must have bought and returned 10 of them in the past few months.

I will take so me time now thinking about what I really want in my collection, considering what is missing and what could be better.

In the meantime, this pair of spinels arrived today, and they match Murry's boots!

Starzin, I have oranda goldfish like that and they are a lot of fun. Cuttlefish are different and we feed cuttlebone to our parrot.

These are mostly pieces from Sally - alexandrite, ruby and sapphires, but I thought the mix needed some orange and light blue so I added a mandarin spessartite, a sunstone and an apatite.
