LOL, on the Gem Shoppe, yes 50% off. This is a 1.59ct tanzanite cushion [my first tanzanite]. 7.09 x 6.12. 10x mag clean, medioum/deep blue with a hint of violet.

Someone NEEDS to buy this opal!!!!!

I''m buying pink spinels in all forms, sizes and shades, in order to make a spectacular necklace. It''s a slow kind of torture, buying them one at a time, as I''m going to need a whole batch of them. I''m going for native cut and great (in my opinion, not necessarily objectively) color. My inspiration for the necklace is a flower, as they have so many shades of pink even on just one petal. I''m imagining wearing this one with black clothes, all kinds of sparkly pink just glimmering around my neck

I can only tell you what I''ve found about it, as I didn''t know exactly either. Here''s what I found: Sleeping Beauty Turquoise got its name from the mountain which resembles a lady in slumber. The name for the turquoise comes from that particular mine.

Haha, looks like the cat is out of the bag now regarding my zircon! I hadn''t posted the sketches yet because the design isn''t finalized, but I''m happy to let you all see the progress. These were drawn before Julia received my stone, and now she''s rethinking the design. She loves the deep pavilion and razor-sharp culet of that stone, so she''s getting inspiration for a design that shows off the profile as much as possible. I''m excited to see what she can come up with!
