Oh yes! It does look just like that Sholdt setting! I've poured over them so many times on the Pearlman's site, it didn't take me long to see it once I looked at your picture! It's very cool!

It looks awesome so far! I'm working on something similar (long-term) for a stacking ring project. I don't find stones in those perfect colors, though. I think I'm just bad at it. Lol.

My new lanbo customized three stone ring came, but without engraving. I think he didn't understand that I wanted engraving, but I can't complain for the price. It's 18K, and it's a huge ring. The center stone is 9x11mm and the sides are 9x5mm. It takes up the width of my biggest fattest finger. In all, I think this was another lanbo customization success story for the most part. The size fits my finger too.

All three stones are spinels.

I don't think the engraving would have mattered, as you can't see any of the shank anyways.

Although I would have like to see the engraving, I don’t think it matters in the case because it wouldn’t be seen in the first place.

I just couldn't help myself...

Very interested in seeing how the spess compares to the one I have now from Vance Gems. I've had the idea of a mother daughter pendant for a while now and I wanted to use the spess but didn't have anything even close to match it. Maybe this is the one!

1.11 ct AGL certified padparadscha from Sri Lanka. Mmmmm.
It looks a little too purple in the photos, but I know first hand how tricky photographing these things are, and so I wanted to see it in person and decide then.

No, I just got lucky. This is the first time I've gotten anything from his "drop". My other gems from him have always been ordered from his archived inventory! Haha.

I'll post extra pics when it gets here. I"m not 100% in love with the cut and I have a smaller unheated pad I love, so if it's not love at first sight, I'll probably send it back and keep my options for my graduation present open, lol. I rarely have such a healthy budget for a project, so I'm being picky! On an up note, Brad wrote back to say he sees no purple in the stone, so it's probably just a camera/computer misrepresentation.

My spess ring is done. Julia had a hard time photographing the stone (not surprised). I am not sure how I feel about the ring. I am holding final judgment until I see it in person.

I love the gold part, It looks great with the spess, the silver band seems kind of thick to me. But the ring is blown up, and I know that can make rings look less delicate than they really are.
