Hello! Well, I am really stupid and dropped my cell phone in the bathtub this morning

, so I have to now go out and purchase a new one. I had a razor phone before, but never really liked it. I would really like to know what kinds of phones you guys have that you really like. I don''t need anything super complicated or expensive like the iphone or anything, just something nice that works well. Thanks in advance!

The only two phones I''ve ever liked have been the razr and the iPhone. I guess I can''t help

What service are you on? I can look at their site and see what they have and try to make a suggestion.

I'm in the same boat: I have an old analog cell phone that doesn't work any more because all the carriers are digital now, so I need an new cell phone.

I love the iPhone, but you have to have a computer to activate it and to download any software upgrades for it. They won't let you do that in the Apple stores for security reasons. I don't have a computer at home since my old one krapped out in November, so I would have to get a new computer if I get the iPhone. I was hoping I could avoid getting another computer - that money is better spent on diamonds.

None of the other phones of PDA'S I've looked at have all the features the iPhone has.

The technology industry gets you coming and going.

Thanks for your help, Legacy girl. I didn''t really mind the razor, but the screen always seemed to get really foggy for some reason, so I couldn''t really see it well in the sunlight. I am on T-mobile. I am looking at the blackberry pearl, but again, I''m not sure i really need all the features. I really just talk and text my hubby sometimes. That''s about it. Thanks!

I''m with you Madam....I would rather spend on diamonds than technology!

I don''t know if you already went and got a new one, but I have T-Mobile too, as well as all of my friends, but I''ve never had the RAZR. However, all of my friends have had one, and every single one of them traded it in for something else. After getting several RAZR replacements. I actually have a PEBL which I LOVE and would recommend to anyone. It has all the features of the RAZR but it doesn''t have to software problems the RAZR seemed to have or the mechanical/physical issues. But, I got my PEBL almost two years ago, and I don''t think you can get them at the stores or on the internet anymore. I''ve had Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, and the sidekick and the only one I haven''t had any problems with is Motorola. My BF has a W490 and doesn''t have any issues with it. So maybe you could look into that one?

I LOVE my G''zone type s. It''s totally indestructible. Actually I shouldn''t say that, with my luck I''ll promptly drive over it tomorrow!

But I''ve dropped it many many times, it''s gotten rained on many times, and it still works perfectly.

It''s a ruggedized (sp?) phone that''s waterproof, sandstorm proof, ice proof, drop proof, and even Indie-proof!

It''s has bluetooth and theoretically you can get v-cast stuff and get gps map navigation etc... but I never use any of that. There is a camera, but it''s not very good or worth the bother except for using the flash as a flashlight sometimes. Really it''s just a good phone that works like a phone. The sound quality is good, the numbers are decent sized and dialing is easy.
However, I do think it''s a Verizon only dealy. Maybe other providers also have ruggedized phones?

Hey, guys...thanks for all the suggestions. I went up to the tmobile store and was just going to get another razor, even though I didn''t really love it, but they were trying to jip me on the price. Then I went up to Costco and debabted getting the Blackberry pearl or the Samsung t429 slider phone. In reality, I only use my phone to talk and text my hubby sometimes during the day when he''s at work, so I decided I didn''t need the more complicated phone, so I went with the Samsung. I got the phone for $49 and got a $50 mail-in rebate, so basically got it for free, just had to extend my contract which is no biggie b/c I really like tmobile''s customer service and have never had a problem with them in the 8 years I''ve been with them. Thanks again everyone!

Oh I''m glad you got a phone so quickly! I always hate picking a new phone.

I don''t like sales people though.
