Hi there guys....I''ve missed you! I haven''t been posting a lot, but I do lurk every now and then.
I was surfing the Purse Forum the other day and I saw a thread on the Chanel J 12. I literally started to drool at the sight of these watches...I thought they were so beautiful and fun. I have many watches but they are all timepieces, I found the J 12 to be more feminine and whimsical rather than serious. I took a drive to Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto and checked out the J 12 case which was amazing (SF had a very small selection). They just received a new shipment on Tuesday so they had all of the sizes and styles for me to try on. My SA was so patient, and so much fun. I felt like a little girl in a candy store.
I absolutely loved the white ceramic with the pink sapphire bezel. They also had the black, with ruby markers and a ruby bezel. The chronograph was spectacular. On back order they have a white ceramic with baby blue sapphires...in the picture they almost looked like blue diamonds as they were so light.
I really wanted to get a 38 because of the automatic movement, but my SA actually talked me out of it. He thought that the watch was too big for my wrist and that it looked like costume jewelry. He also told me that with the watches that I already have, I probably wouldn''t be wearing this piece everyday; and that I wouldn''t want to be bothered with resetting it every time I wore it. He was very cool. In the end I picked a 33 white ceramic (quartz movement) with diamond markers. It''s so fun and summery; I think it''s going to look great with a tan.
I then walked over to the Hermes bay and almost bought the most fabulous cuff. It was stunning. I hemmed and hawed whether to get it or not and thankfully common sense took over and I walked out of NM without another purchase.
I went to pick up my boys from camp and my eldest said, "New watch mom?"
Anyone else out there with a J 12?
