Would this clash? It must be done all the time, I know tons of people have chocolate brown bm dresses and most of them must have standard black tuxes on the guys, right? Would you do a brown tie on the guys? Or something brown and black striped to bring it all together? Does anyone have pics of wedding parties with the brown / black combo?

Thanks!

check on the knot. they have lots of pics of this being done. let me see if i can dig up a few.

brown tie sounds nice.... striped sounds kind of busy, to me. good luck!

Any possibility of navy tuxes or suits for the guys???? I love navy and brown together!

haha, this is sort of off topic, but I also love Navy blue & brown together, however I could never have it at my wedding. My parents got married in 1978 & my dad wore a navy blue tux & his dad wore a brown tux! I can''t get that image of their tuxes & ruffled shirts out of my mind!!!!!

Anyway, I don''t think black tuxes with chocolate brown will be just fine. I''m not a huge fan of the whole groomsmen match bridesmaids thing, so I would probably have the guys just wear black ties. My $.02 of course.

I also think the tuxes stand on their own, maybe try to tie it together somehow, like maybe a chocolate brown dress with a black sash or ribbon...I do not think they have to be matchy matchy, but should not clash either. I absolutely love chocolate brown with a variety of accents, lilac, pale blue, sage green, pink...but none of those work with the tuxes. Is there a chocolate brown satin cummerbund option?

Oooo, that''s a great idea! What about black jewelry, or even black ribbon around their BM bouquets? That could possibly make for a better tie-in than brown ties or brown striped ties?

I think black ribbon on the flowers might be a bit funeraly in mho, but I like the idea of black sashes or jewerly...black and brown are often shown together, as a black and navy, so I think you should try it and see if you think something is missing...I LOVE chocolate brown. My son''s bar mitzvah, the upstairs adult party, was choco brown, copper, cream and gold. I loved how warm it looked. So rich and elegant...

Ya ha ha, diamondfan, I am practicing my highlighting skills, lol! I agree with you on the "funeraly" black ribbon...hadn''t thought of it that way before. I love brown with black or navy...I have a favorite choco brown sweater I like to pair with black pants or capris. I also like that the combination is a bit "unexpected" and does look rich and classic at the same time, imo.
