Help! Give me ideas about wedding gowns- where to get it from; design ideas, whatever? I am getting married in September, and I am totally confused about where and how to get that wedding dress I always dreamed of.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me out!

Welcome to PS! Do you have a certain style of dress you like -- strapless, V-neck, halter, etc? Where will you be getting married? If it''s a formal venue, you''d probably want a more formal dress. Will it be an outdoor or indoor ceremony? I''d suggest trying on lots of different styles and sizes to get an idea of what you like and what looks great on you. Have you checked out bridal magazines? You could begin by going to David''s Bridal if there''s one near you. Then check out other shops in your area. I know that Maggie Sottero ( http://www.maggiesottero.com/ ), Alfred Angelo ( http://www.alfredangelo.com/ ), and Watters ( http://www.watters.com/indexFlash.php ) are popular designers.

I hope you don''t mean THIS September as in next month! If so, you don''t have time to order a dress and mostly likely not enough time to have one made either.

If it is next month, your best bet is to either find a shop where you can buy the sample dress off the rack, or else shop for a non-traditional dress (i.e. evening gown style dress) at a major dept store.

Good luck.

If it's this September, it's a bit too late to order something unless you want to pay $$$$$ for rush fees, and even so, I'm not sure it'd be possible.

Have you made a trip to David's Bridal yet? They have gowns in a lot of different sizes and from what I know, the gown you try on and want to buy is the gown you buy.

Nordstrom's Wedding Shop might also work if you're looking for something more sleek.

Also try JCrew and Ann Taylor.
They both have a wedding dress line.

GOOD LUCK!

Yeah...if it''s this September it is much too late to order anything in even if it were rushed and honestly, you''re cutting it close to even get alterations done.

I would call bridal stores in your area and see who will sell sample dresses. Those are the only ones you''ll be able to get in time and hopefully you are close to a sample size. If not, you could check preownedweddingdresses.com, but then you''re at the mercy of online measurements. But there are some amazing steals on dresses there!

If it''s NEXT September, let us know and we''ll have a lot more advice!
