Got the stones today and they sure are pretty! Took some pictures and yeah..hard to get the chryso just right. I can see the green but it''s not there all the time-it shows up more in the pictures. It''s been overcast here and windy as all get out, but they say the sun is supposed to be out tomorrow and I''ll get more then.

They''ve got some size to them but they aren''t massive, so I don''t think it should be too much of a problem for the ring. Fingers crossed anyway, right? I''d totally forgotten about new CAD''s coming until Michael said something-I was so focused on getting home in time to catch the mailman-missed him so I had to chase him down a couple blocks!

A few months ago, I was going to do all white stones (w/the rose gold prongs if you remember the picture I made), but then I wasn''t sure how much I''d like just plain white stones, that''s why I''d decided on yellow for the center. I''d thought they''d be kinda blah, being white, but..NO! I''m very happily surprised! They''re very sparkly and have a lot of personality. When I was playing w/them earlier, I *almost* thought about getting another zircon for the center and doing the chryso as a solitaire. Maybe.

The chryso..wow-I was holding the stones in my shadow and that sucker still is amazing! I love the cut SO much-just like Freke said I would, so thanks for that Freke! I love the high crowns on them-I tried to get a couple pics of it.

I''m so totally getting a springy green chryso too.

So anyway, I''ll go size pictures and you guys tell me what you think!

I like the color of the center stone! Are the zircons really white? It''s hard to tell by the picture.

LOVE ''EM!!

And I''m so glad to hear I''m not the only one who chases the mailman through the neighborhood!

Oh, they''re beautiful! I can''t wait to see them in their setting... how exciting

Lovely, and the chrysoberyl looks to be a very bright stone. I love chrysoberyl, and it''s such an underrated stone next to it''s cousin alexandrite or cat''s eye. Yellow sapphires just don''t have the same appeal to me, and chrysoberyls are untreated, take a great polish, and are really durable.

Thanks!

Yep, the zircons are super white and super sparkly! Just beautiful!

Ha, we were coming up the block and I saw the mailman walking down the other side of the block and I''m like aw crap! We pulled into the driveway and I checked quick and found the little slip-JD tossed me the keys and grabbed Trapper out of the back-"Mommy''s gotta get her pretties, she''ll be right back" Neighbors probably thought I had a screw loose-coasting down the street hunched over the steering wheel. But dang, I don''t know about anywhere else, but in Iowa, if it''s gray and dreary/overcast out, everything blends together and you can''t see a thing!

Nice and sparkly Chrysoberyl

I''m cheesing out I''m so excited! I can''t wait till the kids get in bed tonight so I can get them out and play some more!

The yellow..I can not for the life of me get it on camera, but the closest is the first blurry picture. But then..outside it looks like that but a tish more green. I guess like the outside ones I took. It''s amazing to me that 1 stone can be 47 different shades of the same color, depending on the light and the direction you''re viewing it.

I really liked them in the overcast outside. I wonder what they''ll look like tomorrow in the full sun!

Take some photos in indirect sun when you get a chance.

Thanks Chic!
Will do, TL!

Did you just ask Michael_E to cut the zircons to your specifications or did he have them in stock? I''m curious because I have a very nice three stone ring with an oval center and trillion sides and I have little trillion tsavorites that I think would fit, but I never checked it out because I couldn''t decide on a color I would like with the tsavs, (I''m not much for mixing colors in rings) but I KNOW I''d like white!

He had the rough in his supply already-email and see if he''s got more! He cut them to go w/the chryso, size wise. I''m sure he''ll cut whatever size you need!

Very, very pretty stones, packrat. They are going to make an amazing ring.

Thanks... I''ll need to take the ring and the tsavs in to a jeweler first to make sure they fit. I''m picking up a ring next week, so I''ll be sure and find out then.

Well they sure look very nice, I''m glad you''re happy with them! Looking forward to seeing the next stage of the project.

They sure look pretty in the shade so I expect it’ll be a lightshow when the sun finally shows up.
