Hey guys. Does anyone have experience cleaning jewelry in an ultrasonicator? I can''t imaging how it would hurt a ring, but I just wanted to check with the experts here before I did something stupid.

I am not a fan of the ultrasonic cleaners. Some stones have been known to be damaged by them. Be sure it is safe for your type of stone. Steam cleaners are another to be careful with.
So far a toothbrush and some dishsoap has not hurt any pieces I have cleaned. Best regards, Lee

It''s just a diamond solitare with a 18k white gold setting, so it''s should be fine. The one I was thinking about using isn''t one specifically made for jewelry, but that shouldn''t matter. I was just thinking about running a wire through it and hanging it down in the tank, that way it shouldn''t get scratched. Thanks for the help guys.

"Ultrasonicator"?!? It sounds like a skeevy old man who defiles stones while he cleans them.
