does anyone have any ring pictures of Cognacs, Champagnes or Orangy diamonds? Like a solitare?
Thanks!!!

Please?

You may have to be patient...I don''t think these are very common, esp. in soliatires.

i posted a loose c-5 resting in a temporary setting next to a george sawyer ''h'' band. do a search for george sawyer ''h'' and you should find it.

You gals have created a monster. I''ve been looking at ALL the colored fancies on icestore.com and of course the ones I really like at first glance are beyond obscene. Like this one.....I said "oooh, that''s pretty"....and then I saw that it costs more than I''m likely to make in the next 20 years combined!

Just think, blueroses, someone has the spare cash to buy that and not think twice...maybe even wear it a few times and then forget about it...

I, too, have searched in vain for pics of these stones set in rings. I hope there are some out there. In the mean time, will try to post this my favorite rock on Diamonds by Lauren''s website. It is a SE natural fancy brown diamond.

Faycullen has a couple listed...

And Rau does:

I love the one on DBL. Thats cool. I like he marquise too, I will have to look up Rau.
Thanks everyone!

ana, is that a pink champagne?

not many online vendors have loose champagne/cognacs....and i''m not sure that i think of brown as champagne....

i was told that the c-8 looks more like rootbeer which is definitely brown but i think has some red/orange undertones.

I too am fascinated by champange diamonds. I hope to actually own one in the near future. Here is a picture I''ve had saved for a while. I stare at it often

WOW... that is nice... I found a few sites... and I stress FEW that has Champagne Diamonds. Not many though.. I tried one in a solitare about 7 years ago and it has stayed with me ever since. It was in a Platinum bezel.. yummy!!!! But, am having a hard time finding someone that carries nice ones. Thanks again everyone!!

Here''s my little C7 VS2 1.37, I had the setting made by Tom Herman at Seven Fingers. He does amazing carving.

This is my right hand ring, and I love the rich warm colors and flases of orange and red. It was a little gift to me.

HI All
thanks for the thread! Isn''t it amazing how little quality stuff there is available to see in the brown family set stones? We got so exasperated that we decided to separate the e-ring project from the w-band one, exactly because I couldn''t visualize encorporating our beloved olive green-champagne-brown-cognac (and back again) progression in one e-ring with an inherited .80 OMC... in 18 K white gold.
Upshot is that I''ve decided to do a separate w-band channel set with these natural fancy diamond colors. I wish I could show you what I''m thinking about.. but you''ll just have to wait (over a year!) like I have to.. unless you can find an example of the ''foresty'' color progression?

I''d love to see examples of custom channel work, but that may be a different thread, non?

Thanks!.. just looking at these colors makes me even more sure I''m on the right track.

Here''s a link to a similar idea.. but envision color prgression color to color, and in 18K yellow gold.

Sorry, I don''t have any other pictures, but hope to take some soon.

Yes, those are all hand carved ginkgo leaves, with white diamonds. Tom does a wonderful job, he''s great to work with. He just does it, if you don''t like it send it back. He''s really an extrodinary artist.

Another source of great champagnes & cognacs is Alex Sepkus, he''s on my list of required artist to collect. Check out his site, his rings with the combination of yellow, champagne & cognac are just beautiful.
