Cold and Rainy Wedding Weekend ahead!

I am trying to keep it together! I am in Germany for our destination wedding. Our City Hall wedding is on Friday and our formal Ceremony is on Saturday. I have already been here in Heidelberg for 2 days. The train schedule was a disaster, making me have to rebook myself and my 68 year old Dad 3 TIMES with all our luggage. ACK! Murphy''s law in action...

Yesterday I woke up with an eye infection that, last time I had, made me look like Quasimoto. ACK, again! Luckily I got into see a doctor ASAP and, after some miracle eye drops, it is looking a lot better...Please note...all the while it is cold and pouring non-stop here at the wedding location.

The cold rain shows no sign of ending. We have so many outdoor things planned and a LOT of walking involved in the wedding day schedule. Today it is in the low 60''s and will get down to 49 tonight. It **should** be 80 degrees! ACK ACK ACK!

My FI is arriving in the car soon...my pre packed suitcase full of sundresses and sandals (oops)I suppose my one pair of jeans will be getting more use than I thought.

I need dust, ladies. LOTS of dust. I dare not ask what else can go wrong. I dont want to know. I know that I will be married by the end of this weekend, and I am determined to enjoy it....but I need some serious dust to help me out. My spirits are low...

Glueck - I''m so sorry, but remember that weather changes all the time, and it can change quickly! Our local weather people can''t seem to get anything right here. Even if the forecast says the rain will continue, that doesn''t mean its correct.

Enjoy Germany, go shopping for more clothes if you need to, and most of all ENJOY YOUR WEDDING!

It''s cooler than normal here in Chicago this summer too, which isn''t that bad but it is currently calling for rain on Saturday

i will absolutely be thinking about you! i don''t know all of your plans, but it looks like the only rainy day is sat and thats at 60% right now. you might be surprised and it could end up being sunny for your event! 60 isn''t 90! dust!!!

Good news! I just checked wetter.de and they say that your forecast is hi 19/lo 10 C degrees (approx F hi 72/lo 55) for both days. Even better... the risk of rain is 12% Friday and 7% Saturday!! Things should definitely start looking up for you!

and your eye....all brides should have a doctor that they can call who can prescribe eye drops in a hurry in case they are flying to a wedding or their honeymoon! i picked up pinkeye after spending about 10 hours in the chicago airport (pinkeye...what am i, 11?). luckily i had a doctor who called something in and the infection cleared up. airports are such disgusting places that and you''ve got be prepared for that!!

Looks like the dust is beginning to work its magic....thank you so much ladies! The forecast is looking good on friday now, and just morning showers on Saturday. Perhaps better news is on the way? GOSH I HOPE SO!!

My eye is clearing up well too.

Hope the forecast looks up in Chicago Blair... we dont need perfect, just not cruddy. We''re not greedy!

Coco! You are too hilarious about the pink eye episode....I am quite sure it wasnt funny at the time! I will carry hand sanitizer for the honeymoon!
