tifftia, this plus the natural blue? You obviously have a great collection. We would love to see more.

Here is the first stone I ever cut, it went into my fiancee's engagement ring that I designed. It's got two .33 VVS-G trilliant side stones, 18k gold setting. I live in tucson and I took the finished ring around ( on her hand) and showed it to most of the aussie opal dealers. No one identified it as a gilson!

GK,

My collection is not as large as most of you here. I have attached another one of my favorite with its unique design.

It is a 100% natural African Amethyst weighing 8.5 CT, flawless with 100% transparency in an intriguing Triangle shape.
It almost looks like it is sitting on a hand decked out in diamonds.

What do u think?

Killer rock and I just love the uniqueness of your setting!

It is nice to see another Kunzite Ring. It is 23.40 CT. Here is a photo of mine. You don''t see too many of these. I

Kunzite Ring.jpg

Kunzite: You know why you don''t? They have three planes of perfect cleavage, which means you have to orient the stone so that NONE of those planes are in line with a facet, or it just falls apart! Cutting kunzite is considered to be one of the most difficult stones to facet due to this, and if someone can do it, then they are a top cuttter..

I understand it fades in the sun, have you had any problems with that??

jleb,

No, I have not had any problem with the fade yet. But then, this Kunzite rarely sees the sun. I believe that is the reason why, the Kunzite is called the evening ring.

Just saw this. Very striking stone and ring design. I like it a lot, and the kunzite too. You may not have many pieces (yet!

For JulieN.............................

My hubby surprised me with an early birthday present, .83ct pear shaped pink sapphire in an 18kt two tone setting with 28 round VS G-H diamonds and 5 fancy yellow diamonds in the bail. Total diamond wt is .29 cts. Helps take the sting out of getting older!

Love the pink sapphire pendent!

MZ!! LOVE IT ORANGE sister!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!

Woo.... Looks perfect.. color was definitely what your setting needed! SCRUMPTOUS!!

Check out this ring I found... I this a ring from Tiffanys... It was a HUGE stone... 18+ carats.. Although I am not usually a sapphire (I leaned toward the warmer colors) I was shocked by this one. I cannot remember where I got the picture, but I kept it cause of how huge it was!

I asked this question on another forum, but I will ask away again here. I am hoping someone here might have a ring for me to get ideas from. I hope this is the right forum for this. I want to get an engagement ring with a diamond in the middle, and on the sides I want an amethyst, and and aquamarine. Those are our birthstones. I saw on a webpage for a jeweler, s center diamond, and the side stones were half stones. the one on the webpage was all diamonds..I thought, I wonder what it would look like if there were a half amethyst on one side, the other half would be an aquamarine. you know..two halves making a whole...anyone out there have a ring similar to what I have in mind? with the three stones ring or one with the two halves of colored stones and the center the diamond. I sure would appreciate any help anyone could give me..

Fancydancer,
I think you''ll have to get it custom made. You may be able to find a 3 stone diamond ring and get the sides switched out; The you could have a set of earrings too. Ast the experts on here.

fancydancer,
you need to start your own thread with your question. this thread is for viewing pictures of rings and your question will just get lost.
just click the 'new topic' button on the right and start your own tread.
