TL,
Thank you for a revival of your cuprians. You've just singlehandedly made it a "have to have" stone again. :nono:

Absolutely - I've never seen a glow like that in real life and hope I get to one day!

This is a six carat apple green sphene I'm debating on recutting.

More info needed! I'm on an epic emerald hunt. Need to find out more about sphenes!!

I love that emerald too, and I can't believe how perfectly it fits in that setting - though I shouldn't be surprised given who it belongs to. :))

Definition of going out with a bang right there. Single most beautifully proportioned and gorgeous ring I've seen in a long, long time.

Another awesome Assher cut set with baguettes in plat in perfect proportion. :appl:

endless_summer: your yellow pear is TDF!!! It's the perfect ray of sunshine.

Freke: I have been drooling over your asscher - better go get a wipe for my keyboard!

Seeing all the gorgeous CS e-rings makes me think I can pull this off! My LM pink tourmaline  I wish you could see the beautiful pink color but it never looks right in a pic.

Here's a carved cab for a change of pace. Carnelian scarab set in 18k yellow gold. It has the traditional Egyptian glyph "sa" carved on the underside of the cab, meaning "protection". I studied classical civilization in high school so it's something that I've always had an interest in.

This was re-homed from another PS'er. From a few inches away, it looks amazingly clear, but up close in the light you can see all of the inclusions that make it so unique. Ring by Michael E. Emerald natural Colombian 1.99 ct, SI clarity in argentium silver.

Swissmiss - my apologies - I haven't been back to this thread in a while - thank you sooooooo much! It was quite the project, but worth all of the work and, hopefully, all of the PSers' time that helped me along the way!!!

Here's my 1960's diamonds and sapphires spray ring...

She has 1.15ct diamonds and 2.50ct sapphires in a white gold basket work setting.

That sapphire spray ring is lovely!

My now fiancé proposed on Friday with this lovely 2.47 cut cushion cut sapphire from Joe Escobar. I'm in love with it and can't stop glancing at my hand. I feared because it was a darker toned sapphire it may blackout or turn Grey in various lighting conditions but it holds up well. Love the violet - blue color.

eringnewbie: It is stunning! Congratulations - it looks gorgeous on you!

Congrats on your engagement!! And that sapphire ring is TDF...I keep coming back to gawk at it 8)

Stunning Sapphire eringnewbie!

Thanks everyone! I'm so in love with it. In my office lighting it's a darker blue with flashes of violet and outside in cloudy light it's this beautiful blue with less violet. It's just lovely. I keep finding reasons to glance at my hand!

sazza,

That's a beautiful e ring! and eringnewbie, I'd be staring at that ring, too. Don't be surprised if more people honk at you at stoplights as you admire the color in different lighting. Wear them in health!
