Hi everyone! Everyone's rings and bling are SO beautiful!!!

I'm a newbie, but I just got my engagement ring (and eternity wedding band) and I wanted to humbly submit it as colored stone eye candy! My FI has done REALLY well, and I'm just thrilled with it, and more importantly with HIM!

14k White Gold, custom setting with Pave diamonds
6.4mm Richard Homer concave faceted blue sapphire

Congratulations, BaileyC! I love the artistic, botanical concept of your set - it is really pretty and the flower with vines are nicely executed. Do you know who your FI commissioned to make it? I am curious to see more from the artist.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken its an Etsy designer

Hi TL, nice to be back. I can't leave the shiny rocks alone you know? We all have our drug of choice. :$$): I saw your moonstone ring, its sweet!

Lovely to see you back, Arcadian, and with your lovely ring too! Is that your Swala tourmaline, if my memory isnt too bad perhaps 10th anniversary? The ring came out fantastic!

Yes its one of them...lol This is the anniversary stone that I never set until this year as life and health got in the way of such things. But, sometimes better late than never. BE/ERD did the setting.

Your stone has such a mesmerizing color. Stunning!!!

Mahenge Spinel in Stuller setting... That teal stone above is (Tourmaline?) gorgeous, the cutting and color are outstanding. :appl:

Thanks Acinom, but its still not a paraiba...lol

Greg, yes, I bought that stone from Swala 4 years ago. Its a 2.34ct mozambique tourmaline and If I'm recalling correctly they had a precision cutter in germany do the cutting. I also purchased a 3ct spessartite from them with the same cutting. I can only presume it was the same cutter as they're very similar.

That necklace is beautiful.

Thank you Arcadian, hope to see you around more. :-)

GregS: once again, amazing color and awesome pendant. Hubba hubba!

Arcadian: welcome back and about time you set that lovely stone! The setting is a perfect match for your stone. Love the prongs.

Baily, your ring is a work of art!!!

Arcadian, what a beautiful and classic ring.

Greg, the color of your Spinel so so vibrant! It's quit a show stopper  !

What a beauty! I would leave it in this setting: it creates such beautiful contrast.

Congrats with your new ring! Do you have more photo's? And how would you describe the color in real life?

Early morning San Diego vacation jewelry shot just as the sun was about to peek through. Sometimes you don't need the sun beating down to get a beautiful shot! :appl:

I will second what another PSer suggested - head in to La Jolla for lots of jewelry stores within a few blocks (all walkable). Everything from hand-made jewelry art to antique and estate jewels. A warning, however - traffic in and out of the Village has been horrendous all week, so anticipate 30 minutes to get in and out. Enjoy your trip, DiamondBoy!

FYI, Diamond Boy, the best shots are when the sun is not beating down, but in indirect bright light.

Thanks so much, I'm in west Hollywood now. Didn't get a chance to check out La Jolla, but we drive back to SD on Monday to fly back. Maybe a quick trip then will be in order :wavey:

Acinom, I would describe it as medium red.
