I should get them early next week, right before my trip to Tokyo! I decided to go with MRBs instead of OECs as they seem more dispersive and sparkly for small size studs (5mm). I wouldn't be able to appreciate OECs facet pattern once on the ear anyway, especially in this size.

My strategy is to buy as many basic/staple jewelry items now, especially diamonds, because jewelry prices will only go up, so better to get them now rather than later. [emoji51] [emoji23] OK, it's a real ban! I will not buy any more stones until I set my loose CS, maybe next year.. (if I say it enough, it might come true!)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I never started a separate thread for the 2 sapphires. The sapphire in the ring is 1.35 carats and the one in the pendant is 3.71 carats. The total weight of the diamonds (all E/F color) in the pendant is 1.49. The diamonds in the ring are about 15 points each. Here are 2 more close-ups:

Here is my new spessartite earrings and pendant set. The spessartites are from Gemfix and cut by Andrew. They are amazing gems! The pendant is 3.69 ct with a diameter of 8.5 mm. The earrings are 3.79 ct total weight with a diameter of 6.9 mm each. They are set in 18K yellow gold. The pave work in the double halo is amazing. This was custom made by a local jeweller. I'm waiting on my ring but I did get a preview of the wax model yesterday.

Here's my birthday present from this year. Hubby surprised me with this 1.20ct FLY heart shaped diamond for a new pendant. My jeweler then worked her magic. It has an inner white halo and an outer FLY halo.
