^Beautiful ring! Best wishes.

Hi folks. Here is my wedding set. It is an east to west set garnet and the band is Paraibas. I know nothing about the garnet so if you have any info please chime in!

Vesper: what a beautiful wedding set. I love the vintage vibe and the personal look of it. I love the combination of warm colours. The rings look great together without being too matchy matchy. Thanks for sharing!

klcardella: what an amazing aqua colour! I love it in rose gold. Your ring looks amazing as a standalone e-ring, but it looks amazing as part of a set as well. A very rich and sophisticated look. I love your choices.

Thank you Acinom! This is my first aqua, and I love it.

Vesper: I agree with Acinom. I love the colors and vintage feel of your set. Very pretty! I love garnets, and have some vintage stones my aunt gave me. I have wondered what to do with them, and love how yours looks with the paraiba. I like that rose and yellow gold seem to be making a comeback!

Acinom thank you for your nice words!

Klcardella thank you! I love that in vintage jewelry they would use greenish and red stones together. I knew that is exactly what I wanted. Your stone is lovely and I covet the prongs! The yellow gold really shows off the rich color of your stone.

It took nearly 9 years before I could decide on the right design but it is worth the wait.

I had thi made for my wife - surprise - birthday in a few months.

Gorgeous! Tell us all about the ring. We love details. :)

Made in India by a jeweller I have used a few times.

Main stone is a 3.5 ct Zambian emerald.

Very few inclusions. Lovely colour.

For anyone interested in price it was £5900 / $8500 /Rs 5.67 Lakh depending on currency of choice.

It's based on a Boodles ring I saw.

Indians like jewellery - traditionally more gold centred - but given the number of stones that are cut in India, can get amazing quality stones if you know who to speak to.

I'd be interested to here what people think of the price - how it compares to UK/US prices.

Andelain,

All your pieces are beautiful. (Really, may I please have an hour in your jewelry box???)
But, that tanzanite is calling my name. Does it really have that blue/green coloring? (I'm not sure what that's called.) This has to be my favorite color combo, whether we're talking clothes...home...but in jewelry? Heaven!

He proposed last Saturday, with this antique (Edwardian?) sapphire ring.
Sapphire is 1.7 carats, just over 1 carat diamonds, platinum band. It's perfect
I wish I knew some of its history.

Sn-Pusher- What a beauty! The sapphire is amazing and the attention to detail on the ring does it justice.

Kaekae- What a unique and lovely Tanzanite. I don't think I have ever seen one with green/blue and purple.

Dan- How wonderful to have Mr. and Mrs. Alexandrite rings. Love these rare stones in yellow gold and diamonds! That emerald and diamond necklace is beautiful.

Mochi- You have two beautiful rings. I think the Paraiba ring is in a whole nother league. Incredible!

LJ- You are right. Your sapphire and diamond ring is platinum is perfect. I don't think I could stop staring at it if it was on my hand. Congrats on your engagement!!!! :appl:

Thank you, I'm loving everyone's rings on here too! :appl:
