I am hoping that those who have had experience with MONDERA and/or BLUE NILE can comment on their experiences. Can these sites be trusted? Were your purchases up to expectations? Thanks.

See here. Also, don''t be shy to use the search function here, taking advantage of everybody who''s been here before, vs. those that happen to be reading here, today.

I am also doing my research, my final four are Mondera, Blue Nile, Shenoa Diamonds, Jewelry Television.

I am interested to hearing the feedback on these different companies as well.

Sorry, only familiar by name recognition with Mondera and Blue Nile. I actually did try to shop via Blue Nile, but in the end, they couldn't provide the information I found important. I've purchased from other PS vendors, but not from Blue Nile as yet.

I believe both Mondera and Blue Nile are drop-shippers (meaning the diamonds they sell are not held in inventory on-location).

So if you''re interested in talking with a salesperson by phone who has the actual stone in their hands to discuss the clarity, etc. you may not want to go with those vendors.

On the other hand they tend to have good prices as they are high volume businesses. The fact that they drop-ship probably allows them to save operating costs that would otherwise be tied up in inventory.

Not sure about Mondera, but Blue Nile has their own Signature stones. A lot of vendors (including ones commonly mentioned on PS) offer ''virtual stones'' that they can call in to look at if the stones look good on paper. I think what aljdewey is getting at is that many of these companies do not have things like sarin, or a particular set of known and trusted eyes, or can offer idealscope pics.

hi there,
my aunt bought a ring from blue nile and she was happy with the purchase. I, on the other hand, had a very bad experience with GLOBAL BARGAIN HUNTERS which i believe is a sister company of SHENOA AND CO. from manhattan , new york.I will definitely stay away from the company. They are smooth talkers and gets so ugly when you return for a cashback. It is like pulling a tooth to get your refund back. Also, the stone that they stated on their UGL appraisal was way off. again, i will sty away from GBH aka Shenoa and co.

How is your search going?

Being that I am in the weeds with this like you are, you may want to look at this link from some posting about my Final Four.

I researched Blue Nile and Mondera, check out my link above you can see some of the reactions.

I had a good experience with Blue nile and Shenoa Diamonds, I liked their customer service and the layout of their sites.
