Ok i know i am prolly jumping the gun... but my boyfriend has just surprised me with a snowboarding vacation for early March 06..destination...Jackson Hole Wyoming! Which i am soo pumped for because i love it out west in the moutains.. Anyways... i know he has said to me in the past that he has spoken to jewlers to custom make my ering... which by the way he wont slip me any details on.. but i totally trust him! hopefully it is similar to my avitar

Ok i cant focus because i am just thinking about it and it is making me giddy like a little school girl!

Then my head starts to wonder about since it is our first big vacation together, and it is over his birthday and VERY close to our 3 year anniversary... could he be thinking to pop the question???? I just need someone to simmer me down.. you know how we all have deadlines or some kind of inclination that THIS COULD BE IT!!! well this is my first one... and i am way to excited..... yikes!

Ok i just needed to get this off my chest i think..... i love you PS''ers!!!!

Keep us posted. You probably have great instinct about this. Make sure and get a manicure before the trip and take a camera so you can share the pics!! Is the ring in your avatar your ''dream ring''. Does your BF know what setting you want?

I totally know how you feel about reading too much into things. Whenever BF says anything I immediately think he''s trying to drop hints

DP- yes he knows what ring i dream about, and my avitar is it... and he actually sent this pic to me a while back saying it is VERY similar to this, but just with some extra JC touches...thats why i trust him with the whole ring. JC are both our initials.

Thanks Hayyo.. i know and i totally am.. i just dont want to get my hopes up.. and then the trip comes and goes with out him asking me.. somehow if i think he is going to.. then doesnt... i will be really disapointed and it will ruin the memories of the trip... but i know i shouldnt focus on that bad attitude.. The trip will be great, and beautiful even if it doesnt happen.
 
Hmmmm- you know your situation better than I do. Have you set a deadline for this to happen? Is it close? Looks like you''ve picked out a setting? Green lights are flashing, so it could be! If I were you, I''d look at how much fun you are going to have on the trip and not expect it. For two reasons: One- if he does you''ll be kinda surprised! And two- if he doesn''t you won''t be dissapointed. Good luck- sounds like a great trip!

Congrats on the vacation, sounds really fun.

My opinion is that you should go into it thinking that it is NOT gonna happen, that way if it doesn''t, you won''t be as disapointed. (I know that is easier said than done). I would hate to go through the whole vacation thinking "Is it gonna be tonight?" or "I hope he does it soon." and then you miss all the fun that you should be having together skiing! Have a great trip, and don''t drive yourself crazy before than!!

... for the whole sake of not wanting to be disapointed and wanting to enjoy our first REAL vacation together. and if it would happen... it really would be my dream proposal... ya just never know... I havent really set a timeline at all for us because i want it to be the right time for both of us... all i said is that i would like to be married and start on a family by age 27.. thats 3 years from now... soo i totally could be jumping the gun... but he has been talking about it a bit more the past few months!!!!!

Mr.Milsap.. i know that and appreciate it very very very much.. this will be our first vacation together, and just to be in beautiful scenery with him is a treat! but cant a girl get giddy anyway, after all you are in the ladies in waiting forum, can you see a trend with us?

All: Thank you for your excitement and encouragement, but after some events that have happened between my boyfriend and I, I am quite positive that it will not happen and thats ok.

I am sorry if I came off as "the typical" guy with my answer. I was trying to relate to my current situation as it is similiar. My plans are to get some traveling in with my lady, and find the most romantic spot possible within possibilities.
You mentioned this was your real first trip together, and if he is like any of the rest of us ''hopeless romantics'' I am sure he just wants the best for you.

thats quite alright... like i said i am pretty sure it is not going to happen anyway, and thats fine... I appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness just the same. we have done like extended camping trips, but nothing like this.. i am soo excited :)

what do you have in mind for a trip?
