Okay, so I wasn't on the list to begin with, but I'm no longer a lady in waiting! I'm engaged!

My boyfriend decided yesterday that today, we should head to Malibu at sunset and take a walk on the beach. While the sun set, it turned the sky a gorgeous pink. He got down on one knee and while, yes, I was expecting it sometime, I wasn't expecting it then! It was so sweet, and it couldn't have been at a more gorgeous place or at a better time.

The ring is amazing and I promise I'll have pictures tomorrow. I'll post them in the SMTR thread tomorrow, with a link in this post.

You girls are the best. Cherish this waiting period, as this is (hopefully) just once in your entire life. The suspense kills (I know!) but once that ring is on your finger, it's all worth it.

p.s. I haven't told my parents yet! Wish this only child good luck!

Well, I would have, normally, but he swore that the ring wasn't ready yet (it's custom). He told me to go ahead and call the jeweler if I didn't believe him. Apparently, it actually wasn't supposed to be ready until this next week, but he got an email on Saturday saying it was ready. I figured he was telling the truth! Sneaky.

I know I said there'd be pics today, but we didn't have any time to take them in sunlight. The only decent pictures we got (if you can call them decent) were under our warm house lights. The pictures do my ring no justice, so I'm not going to post them in SMTR just yet...but I will post one for you here, because I said I would. Pictures that show my ring's absolute beauty will come soon...tomorrow or the next day, for sure.
