I don’t know if anyone can help me… I am looking for two things. I would like to purchase a crucifix for my SO for Christmas this year. However so far I have not been able to find one that I love for him. Most of them have very feminine touches. I would prefer a white metal.
I am also looking for a rosary. This item to be feminine in nature. I saw one in Italy which had pearls but it was about 300 euro and that is way more then I want to spend.
Does anyone have a place where they normally find things like this? Thanks

I have seen some truly beautiful crosses in recent weeks because I have continued to look at gold jewelry. Are you looking for a simple cross or a crucifix with the figure of Jesus? (BTW, I have not seen any rosaries in my travels.)

A crucifix with Jesus on it. I am having a really tough time finding a rosary. I thought maybe with so many people on here someone might know where to find such things.

I will ask my mom about the Rosary. She gave me one a few years ago thats made out of olive wood (I think??). Whatever wood it is made out of it is extremely light. Almost like balsa wood but a lot harder. It isn''t very feminine though but she may be able to help locate one. I will ask her when I get the chance to talk to her.

Hehe alright so I typed in "Rosary" to search for and the first link I found sort of cracked me up, but I just did a quick look through and they seem to have lots of options... www.rosarymart.com
They also have a section on crucifixes.

Goldenmine.com has some white gold Crucifixes, not sure if this is what you''re looking for

St. Louis Catholic Supply has a pretty big assortment of stuff online. You can do a search for "rosary" and "crucifix."

H2b''s entire family is Catholic and I have a hard time trying to find stuff as gifts for his mom. She has just about every knick-knack you can think of. Thanks for posting that site. Maybe I can find something there for her.

. I get stressed and fidget and and I have found that prayer calms me. I would like a rosary to have something tangible. I like the idea of sterling silver and pearls, I am going to see if I can find one with real pearls.
Thank you for your help!

If you have a Berean Bookstore near you, they carry Rosaries. I''ve also gotten some beautiful rosaries from Our Lady of the Snows in Bellville, Illinois. I think you can get one from them online, as well as some really nice prayer books. You could also call the office at any local Catholic Church, and they should be able to hook you up. If you can''t fine one you like, PM me and I might be able to help you.

Would you go for fresh water pearls? I''ve seen a lot of those for very affordable, but all the akoyas are around 300ish that I''ve found.

Oh yes! That would be very lovely!

This one looks pretty. This website www.vaticangift.com has so many pretty ones in the $30-45 range.
And yes I agree, when I was in Italy they had BEAUTIFUL rosaries. Good Luck!

Thanks SDL! What a superspiffy web page...I think I may now know what to get my FMIL for Christmas this year. Or perhaps I will wait and give that as a wedding gift. Hmm...Very neat site I am enjoying greatly.

Oh I just love the vatican rosary web page. I decided that getting a rosary blessed by the pope would be the perfect graduation gift for a friend of mine. I hope she thinks so too!
