Custom cut gem stones?

Hi dear PS'ers, mainly participated in the Rocky Talky for diamonds, and know very little in colored gems. With rising interests in this part of the gem world, I've found there seems to be some cutting houses who's custom cutting colored stones. Wonder if any of us here with such experience, and are there any famous vendor in such aspect?
Just curious & hope there's some feedback~

There are two types of custom cutting;
1. Does precision cutting but does not take commissions (special orders)
2. Does precision cutting but also accepts commissions
