This is for trade members mostly. I have been contacted by two groups (one USA Government backed and one German government backed) who want to conduct gemstone cutting training in Kabul later this year. One training will be on cutting ruby and emerald in the area, and the other on semi precious rough from the area. I cant go back this time,so they asked me to reach out to the trade to see if anyone would be interested in a 2-4 month position. I am sure there are a ton of questions so feel free to reach out to me or ask here and I can answer you.
1. Pay - is based on wages here and increased accordingly with danger and being in a foreign country. Pay is very good!
2. Security - I had armed security when I was out in the streets as well as our home being well guarded.
3. Location - Kabul, maybe some trips to the mines but doubtful
4. Time frame - Fall/Winter start
Personally I loved my two trips to Kabul and would go back in a heart beat if I could.
