Good Evening Ladies! Just finished up a quick 7.46 miles. I had an excellent surprise this evening. My best buddy who had started Atkins just after I left to come down here has lost... 25 lbs I am soo proud of her! I just think that kicks bum six ways to Sunday! I was thinking about it and after going through the thread I realized I have lost 13 so far which is not bad. Sometimes when things go slowly it is harder to see that they are indeed going.
 
13 so far is FAB-U-LOUS!!!!! Way to go Miss M.....that is nothing to sneeze at and all that exercise is paying off- your parents are going to be so proud, too!!!!! Keep it up, you''re my inspiration

My exercise today consisted of walking for work and getting pushed over in Penn station by a guy trying to escape someone chasing him (and I got off easy, the girl in front of me fell face first-ouch!!!)


I really need to concentrate on my self-control, so more than anything that''s my goal right now- control & reason. Without them I can not succeed

Wow, 13 pounds is excellent! You must be happy!

I lifted weights and rode the stationary bike for 45 mins. Unfortunately, my bone scan provided me with bad news- I have shin splints in both legs and a stress fracture in my upper right tibia.

The doctor told me no running for 4 months! I wanted to cry

but then remembered that I''m grateful that I don''t have bone cancer (which is what my sister so helpfully mentioned as a possibility

). I can''t do any weight-bearing exercise for awhile, so that means no walking or elliptical. I''ve already paid for 3 races too for this fall. So mad.
