Morning everyone,
Well, I see this thread hasn''t been started so here we are! I hope that means that everyone''s out there working out!!
Ok, I haven''t worked out yet today but it will happen, it will happen, it will happen. I am going to keep saying that until I actually do it. I took the day off and I need to workout before I get the day started. So I am off to do that.

Monarch, great job about working out the other day! Today will only be my 4th day this week so i''ve got to make it happen.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts. I am going to need ALL of them in order to make today''s workout a reality.

Have a good Friday ladies.

Good morning! Thanks for the encouragement Amy! That definitely helped me over the "I don''t wanna go" hump Wednesday! I feel much better this week than I have for awhile, mainly because of getting my butt to the gym, and partly because it hasn''t been freezing all week!

I didn''t work out last night, but I did walk to and from work, so I wasn''t totally inactive. Basically when I walk I get four ten minute, .6 mile walks in. That''s 40 minutes total, and 2.4 miles altogether. I''d rather do it all at once, but it''s better than nothing. I couldn''t work out last night because I sold my car and the lady came to pick it up and do all the paperwork stuff. My legs were pretty sore after working out the past three days so I was kind of glad to have a "rest" day. I will be going to the gym after work tonight, though.

It is definitely easier for me to push myself on Friday than it is on Monday. Don''t know why.

This morning we ran a quick 2 miles on the track and then, because we still had time left, decided to pump some iron. It was pretty good. I was actually surprised how easy and quick the 2 mile run was, and we ran it at a nice pace.

This weekend, FI and I are heading to the gym since they''re having a member appreciation weekend - free chair massages, and other goodies. It ought to be good.

Anyway, I''m sure glad the weekend is here. I need to kick up my feet and chill out a bit. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

I didn''t make it last night because traffic was awful and I didn''t get home until around 8 last night... My BF looked at me when I walked in the door and immediately opened a bottle of pinot noir. Maybe it''s because I called him about 15 times while stuck in traffic? maybe. Anyway, we did eat lite and this weekend will be gym time. I think I may even get a mani/pedi after my workout tomorrow. My gym has a day spa in it and I like the idea of getting a foot rub after a workout!!

yay we have sun today!! who knows how long it will last but it''s happy nevertheless!

i went to kbox last nite and the arm is pretty sore today but i did a good workout and didn''t really baby it so hopefully it will calm down soon. it''s nowhere near what it used to be in terms of pain or even soreness so i hope that means it''s slowly getting back to normal. i wasn''t bothered while sleeping last nite at all (like i used to be when i would work out and it was hurting, i''d toss and turn all night trying to stop it from throbbing). so that''s positive. trying to take it easy with it today and this weekend though.

i actually had this convo with jorman this week about how i''ve discovered that my body works best with a mixture of something like walking where i can do it for an hour straight and see more ''leaning'' out of my body, and then 1 day of kickboxing to get the heart rate up and burn some calories but that really builds muscle for me and i already have alot of that, i don''t get lean from doing kboxing, and then the pilates/homestuff which keeps me busy on days im not doing much but also works on the ''core'' area which i really need. i am seeing such positive changes from all the walking and the home leg exercises i am doing that it''s so intriguing because i never saw that much ''progress'' mentally when i was just kickboxing. i have been walking for over a year now steadily, but have ramped it up definitely from when i first started. just kind of interesting...anyway!

today i plan to walk 2m in the afternoon with P around the small park here, hopefully it''s sunny all day! and then this weekend, probably sunday, we plan to go to the other park and greg will run while P and I walk 3m.

same ole on the eating, i did try kashi go lean today with the twigs and branches in it (tee heee) with 1/2 a banana cut up for some natural sugar, not bad! and lotso fiber. i get bored with my other cereals so i have to switch things up! anyway, have a great weekend gals and if it''s sunny or warm, get out there and do some walking just for fun!

I only got in 20 minutes of swimming today, and then my butt and right leg really started hurting (radiating pain). So, I followed my own advice about not pushing through injuries and stopped.

It''s 73 degrees out and sunny, though, and I was thinking of taking a short walk as Mara suggested and seeing if my body handles that okay. My mom and I took a 20 minute walk when I was home yesterday, and I felt a lot better mentally afterwards.

Mara, it''s interesting to hear that your body works with that mixture of exercises. I''ve almost always run 6 times a week and lifted 2-3 times, but now that I''m officially retired from college athletics, I was thinking about mixing it up a lot more when my back''s better. Obviously kickboxing is out right now.
