Daily Workout Thread- Thurs 11/9

Made it to the gym this morning, after an eggwhite, mushroom and tomato omlette. Did 40 minutes on the treadmill, alternating slow walking on high hill and running at 6.5. Feel pretty good. Ate some carbs at lunch, not sure if i can do the south beach thing.

We have a girls thanksgiving cooking class tonight, and i keep repeating no pastry encrusted baked apple!!!! wish me luck!
 
I did 40mins this am on the elliptical and am going to do pilates when I get home--pilates works so well! I did it 4x a week for 3 months and I had a 6 pack!!! I couldnt beleive it. Also made a big difference on toning up my thighs...now it''s been about 3 months since I stopped doing them and I can feel a difference. Gotta get back on it!

I tried the south beach type diet then teh zone type diet and I couldnt stick with either, I was just too hungry. I actually dropped 5 pounds when I just worked out 40 mins cardio 5x a week and weights 3x a week and ate normally b/c I was full so I only eat 3 times a day when I''m not on some kind of diet. Now I''d like to lose about 3-5 more then I''ll be happy.
 
Good for you sweetpea! I love hearing others success stories. I am myself avoiding weighing in just now. I dont think I want to know.

Thanks Mat!!! I was scared to weigh myself at the gym b/c I''d stopped the diet and just started eating normally AND not made it to the gym in 2 or 3 weeks! But, the scale only showed a 1.5 pound differnce (up) so I''m taking that as normal fluctuation haha.
 
Wow, sweetpea. I have the pilates DVD, but I only did it for 2 weeks an stopped. I can never stick to a routine. I am so lazy.....hehehe.

I did 30 mins on the elliptical last night and my weights. I''m planning to get off work an hour early to play some tennis and prob do some weights when I get home too. I will have to get my butt to start doing the pilates again. If it can tone my big-baby-belly-fat off then it''s well worth it!

And, isn''t it Wed today? I thought I was going crazy there for a sec. I know the week wasn''t going by THAT quick! Hee.

Windsor Pilates--I do the 20 min abs and 20 buns and thighs. There''s also a 20min quick workout and 1 hour long all over workout but I dont have the attention span for an hour. But if you were to do one of the 20 mins every night, just alternating, you''d see results pretty quickly. It''s just once you get out of the groove, it''s hard to get back in haha.

I walked 8.63 miles, no weights. I will do more and better tommorow.
 
I have been MIA because I''ve been so bad lately...I''be been eating like crazy, and skipping workouts. A couple months ago I was down to 131-134lbs, and donig so well. Well, I braved the scale today, and got the shock of my life. My binge eating and workout cop-out made me gain over 10lbs. I''m now up to 144!!!!!

The scary thing is that it''s only been less than a month since I cut the low carb thing, and the first 2 weeks there was no weight change, so I thought my excercise was compensating for the carb intake...apparently not, it just took a couple weeks more for my body to start it''s weight rebound!!!

Here''s my goal: I''m getting back on the induction phase of Atkin''s, and exercising religiously so that I''ll be down 10lbs by thanksgiving. I WANT to eat some stuffing!
 
6.30 miles and yesterday only salad. Today I made soup twice, the first time was vegtable bean soup and it was pretty good. I tried to make chicken sooup for dinner and nearly set off the smoke alarm...Ooops! Oh well one out of two is not bad.
 
new peppermint mousse at work today. YUMMY! not the most successful day, but hey, i have been to the gym everyday this week.
 
yesterday and today i have been STARVING the whole day even after eating. totally weird.

i just came home from working out and i''m shaking...greg says my blood sugar is low and i should eat but i''m not hungry right now. wonder what the deal is.

anyway sweated up a storm in class. should be nice and tired tomorrow.
 
Are you diabetic? Or borderline?
That happens to me sometimes, I have to keep OJ. Perhaps OJ or someother sugary non-alcholic drink would help.
