I did it! I broke 7 miles woo hoo!!!! I walked with 12lbs...I attached to ankle weights which are way too big for me, and made them into a waist belt. I look like a ment but...it is really supposed to help with calorires. Anyway I am all happy now!

Well I went and did another 4.93 miles, and used 20 pounds of weights.(we really need a feeling the burn/glistening smiley) Does anyone know if it matter where you wear the weights? Normally I wer them on my ankles but my feet have been hurting so much I wanted a bit of a break. Oh well it cant hurt me to carry some extra weight. Now if I could just stop stuffing my face....

Wow, you walked almost 12 miles yesterday?? That''s awesome. How do your legs feel today??

Husband, sister, and I did the walk/run thing (more walk than run thanks to his knees) for 3.75 miles.
 
good for you mat...i did my requisite 1 mile.

i really meant to go to kbox last nite but i have been SO not with wanting to do that right now. walking is more my speed. oh and the lifting of the weights which is kind of fun. starting to see a tiny bit more definition in my upper arms...whch is kind of what i am after.

oh and i had a dream i walked 5 miles...does that count?

have you done research on ankle weights and if they assist? i have heard conflicting yes and no''s and also i think i have heard they are not the best for walking, aka can put additional stress on your joints? if you have not already...i would just double check it to make sure you are okay.
