Ha ha...... Chickies.....I just got back from a bachelorette party in Atlantic City.....good times.....but I am SOOOOO tired and need a nap. Plus, hubby isnt home....I need his help with this kind of stuff!

I think when you live in NY, you can never start too early with prices being so high. As a Westchester chic, I love the idea of having a wedding at Tappan Hill. I hear great things about Abigail Hirch and have even been to a few weddings catered by her company. Would you mind giving a price range at Tappan Hill. BX Botanical Gardens were really nice but I am thinking upstate a little might be nicer. Thanks and Congratulations!!!

Hi Bia-

Welcome to PS! Ok, let me see if I can remember some of TH''s pricing......We booked our wedding in July of ''06, so of course prices have gone up since then....We got married on a Friday night, and had the basic menu at TH (which was fine) and paid abot $180 per head.....Saturday night was (I think) in the $250 p/h range. I may be wrong though, this was quite awhile ago....Just give them a call...They are really super nice. If you do call, ask to speak to Leigh. She was our salesperson, and she is just such an amazing person....We have become good friends, even though my wedding was 6 mths ago already.....we still speak with eachother every few weeks just to catch up!

Yes, as of right now, I am a "Lady-in-Waiting," apparently that is the technical term on PS.com. My BF and I have been together for over 5 years, and have essentially grown up together in the process, therefore I think the "do-or-die" issue of a commitment is approaching. However, it seems that the topic of an engagement is coming up more and more on his end and I, naturally, am trying to play it cool, not suspect at all. Boys are so oblivious at times. Anyway, it will likely be this year...OR it better be because family on each side is asking questions like every time we visit and I can''t keep making excuses

Please, girls, tell me if I am neurotic. At any rate, DANI, I saw your photos and fell in love with them. Your photographer captured the moments beautifully. When you have a chance, please let me know who you used, if you don''t mind of course. Id love to research. One more question (I promise!): Is it possible to have a classy and beautiful wedding in NY for under $40k? I am getting very discouraged because I don''t want to put our parents, or ourselves into debt of any kind. Thanks for your kind words and all of your help. I hope my journey is as special as yours and everyone else''s seems to have been.

I am like the most non-traditional person ever but for some reason I really really want my fiance and I to have matching wedding bands. So I''m thinking the pave on the e-ring, the plain platinum band from Tiffany''s, and then another pave from Leon/DK on the other side of the plain. If you''ve seen Kate Beckinsale''s set, something like that. Not sure if it''s in the budge to do the third ring immediately though.

I am like you...I wanted the matching bands too...But I only wear my plat Tiff band to work and when I just am hanging around.....I dont wear it with my e-ring b/c it just doesnt "go." But I love it when I want the classic, plain look.

Yeah, I dont know if that's going to happen though. We have SO MANY other things to pay for, and we are trying to save for a house. So, the e-band has really gone down to the bottom of the priority list.

But I have no qualms about trying anything on at MCF, that's for sure!!!!

I have to make a decision this afternoon, so I will let you know what the status will be by the time you get there... It should be being worked on when you are there, but oh well.

I AM SO FREAKIN'' EXCITED! I haven''t heard from Leon so I assume we''re still on for tomorrow. So long as we don''t have any catastraphes, that would put my ring being done somewhere near the end of May. YIPPEE...that''d be a nice graduation present!!!

Just don''t be nervous bc he may be someone who feeeds off of that, just be your cool self! He''s gonna love you gals!
I talked to him a few times today, and he was great. I really appreciate all the time he has put into this for me. Right now he is still just wokring with the metal design of the ring. Something structurally didn''t work and we had to modify it

. I can''t say I was thrilled. But he explained that when he sits down and comes up with an idea that he hasn''t ever done before it is imposible to forsee all the little variables and how they may play out... I didn''t love his solution at first (still kinda nervous honestly) but my bf (being the wonderful easy going guy he is) was able to see what Leon was saying about the design and the structure of it. He (the bf) spent all morning at work drawing his own sketches for me so he could bring them to me to lunch. Awww! They were suprisingly good and I was able to call Leon and give him the go-ahead. He told me that he would send us a pic of the metal work when it was done(before he sets any stones), and that he never does that but he was really wanting to get it right for me, and I can''t tell you how much I appreciate it!!! He also told me that normally he wouldn''t call to say he had to make such a change, and that kinda shocked me, bc I got news for ya... If that ring would have showed up here any different than what I was expecting I would be likely to blow a gasket!! No joke!
SO to sum it all up... Be glad that you love a piece that he has already done before so that this problem doesn''t arise for you. Granteed it is being handled, and I am sure it will be great in the end, I just wasn''t expecting to have to deal with any glitches...

Honestly, I''ve never seen a piece I don''t like from Leon, so I''m SURE it''ll turn out fantastic. Besides, you''d have been even more pissed if down the line something happened to the ring b/c there was a design flaw...better now than later!

The camera is charged and ready to go. Funny story, yesterday I said to my FI, I need to wipe the memory card and he''s like there''s still 60 pictures left. I said honey I''m going to look at diamonds, that is NOT enough...he just gave me this, why bother look. Why don''t they get it sometimes?

Why don''t you shoot Mark an email just to let him know it''s ok for me to get it and I''ll make sure to get it while I''m there. Would love to compare notes!
