Late one night an ad pops up on my Facebook thread (davidvon.com) and being in a good mood and acting less wise, I made the mistake of way overpaying for something on their site because the site looked nice and the videos "looked pretty" :) My daughter wanted something similar and I thought this would be a nice surprise, especially since advertising "ships in 5-7 days". I guess I should have known better because they also talked about other jewelers charging 8-10 times more (insinuating their prices significantly cheaper when it was obvious that was far from the case). Anyways, I won't bore with details and I do not even have the necklace yet to comment on the quality, but their customer service is TERRIBLE. Needless to say I do not have the piece yet, now they have changed the advertised time frame but yet said couldn't cancel and refund because it was "in production" Monday morning but told today it won't ship until sometime next week lol And this is a simple piece, nothing complicated. Anyways, I searched here now (after the fact) and nothing so I just wanted to put the name out there to help anyone avoid being a big dummy like me. Of course I am sure that anyone else would have been wiser than me as there really is super limited info about them except Facebook reviews, those alone are reliable right? lol. So if late one night if you are in a great mood and feeling generous and wanting to surprise someone, I would\ proceed cautiously and likely pick someone else.

If anyone else has had experiences with them I would be interested, maybe my interaction was just "the outlier" but I know for sure enough that I won't be back.

I would attempt to dispute it with your credit card.

I actually have strongly considered it, was just on my cards website and staring at the "dispute" button. Waiting for their next reply and I will decide, I guess I almost feel responsible because I have the "I should have known better" feeling right now so giving them any chance to try to remedy the situation.

That is ridiculous (their customer service). Ugh. I would wait until next week and then file a dispute.

Yea they just replied "why do you not think it is in production" because I requested again just to cancel since they didn't meet the time frame.......I told him that he told me Monday it was in production and then told me today it will ship sometime next week, how long does it take for a little name necklace? When I ordered 10 days ago it said "will ship in 5-7 days".....so I didn't bug them until I heard nothing this Monday and now we are "it will ship sometime next week". I am trying to not be difficult but it was supposed to be a present, hence why the time frame mattered. Again my fault of just ordering on a whim from a place most has never heard of

I would give them until Monday before filing a dispute. That's awful.

So update.....now 17 days from ordering, still no shipping notification and now they have stopped responding to my emails and Facebook messages. So much for the "will ship in 5-7 days". I have filed a dispute with the credit card company. Again do not be a dummy like me and AVOID David Von.

They are in LA, may be having some problems now. But since they didn't respond to any of your emails and messages, I think you did the right thing. I stopped doing any on-line shopping after 8pm when I usually have my regular glass of red vine. I wish you luck and please keep us updated.

Glad you filed a dispute. Obviously things are tough for vendors right now, but zero communication is unacceptable

Gee what a familiar story! I too have had TERRIBLE experience with David Von Jewelry. What a joke! I should have known with my first experience back in August. I was so so on a time frame, but the longer it took, the madder I became. Anyway, you thought I would have learned a lesson the first time, but decided to order 2 bracelets for my daughters. I ordered on Dec 2nd thinking this was WAY more than enough time to get in time for Christmas. Especially since I had to send one of the bracelets once I received them in her Xmas package which was out of state. I called them at the end of the following week to check the status. They told me they were shipping the beginning of the next week (dec.14th) I called again mid week and told them that I was getting a little concerned about getting it in time for me to ship. The girl said "oh no problem". "I will call you as soon as they are ready to ship and we will change one of the addresses". Yea. righttttt. Called again the end of the week. " oh yes, I have a note here to call you " Called again Monday 21st. Busy signal. I gave up. Out of the blue I get a text "shipping confirmation". on the 22nd. I call and the girl she says "yes I can change one of the bracelets but it will cost you $50!!!!! What????? I said "just forget it, send them both to me". I got them LATE on the 23rd, so the next morning Xmas Eve, I jetted to the post office to overnight it to my daughter costing me an additional $26.95. WHAT A JOKE.
I responded to there email to leave a review and I have yet to hear back.
