I've decided to upgrade my 1ctw, E, VVS2, ideal cut studs. These were a gift for my 21st birthday so I did not decide on those specs. I've done a lot of reading on this forum and the general consensus seems to be that color and clarity are not as important for earrings.
I am looking in the 1.8-2.0 ctw range. I've decided on H color, SI1 clarity. My budget is around $8k and I must purchase them from Blue Nile as that is where the original studs were purchased from and I will be trading in.
I want the best cut possible and read through posts breaking down ideal depth, table, crown angle, pavillion angle...but I'm having a tough time finding diamonds that match all of the cut criteria in my price and size range.
I was hoping someone could take a look at the following diamonds and give me their thoughts on the cuts.
There are also these two pairs in 1.7 ctw which may be cut slightly better?
This is my first time buying diamonds so any feedback and help would be much appreciated!
