So I''m wondering about what steps a diamond goes through to get from rough to being placed into a piece of jewelry? And who/how many people are involved in the process?

Also, in what countries are diamonds mined?

I''m trying to widen my diamond knowledge and I figured I''d start from the beginning of the process and get some background. I''m sure I''ll come up with more questions as I get answers.
