Diamond Shoe by Stuart Weitzman

http://www.ruggedelegantliving.com/sf/a/002363.html

Stuart Weitzman does all sorts of diamond encrusted wedding shoes. I'm not sure if these were them, but he made a pair for an actress to wear to the award ceremonies a few weeks back, and he also made a pair for Trista of the Bachelorette fame.

I wouldn't mind snatching up those babies for my big day...yummy...though I'd probably be caught prying them off with a screwdriver after for a pretty necklace. HeeHee.

hahaha - me too! I'm imagining a cute choker or maybe even a bracelet and a ring set made with that above pattern! Oh, and you could even set a couple diamonds on your screwdriver handle for a show of prosterity

In the People magazine from *i think* last week, it had this whole article on the jewels borrowed for awards shows, and they had this small exerpt on the jewels that have been lost during! For instance, Whoopi Goldberg wore the yellow diamond necklace shown in "How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days" & lost it. Apparently a security guard found it in her bra. First question...how do you lose a 40 carat diamond necklace in your bra without feeling it? Second question....what was the security guard doing in her bra! lol.

Elizabeth Hurley was wearing some really pretty bracelet worth like $200k (don't really remember the details), but she lost it on the red carpet! An honest journalist turned it in! What a guy! There were other stories too of lost borrowed jewels. Wish I had the article in front of me right now.

I would strongly suggest to the jewelers they spend as much time making mistake proof catches, as they do trying to come up with new designs. Most of the time when I've had something slip off, like my blue diamond tenny, it was because the catch wasn't strong enough for the weight of the diamonds and platinum.
