ficklefaye and arjunajane - 842 is mine. Gene is letting me pay for it in installments. I cannot wait to receive it. Maybe in a month. Because I really, really, really wanted it and I'm a good repeat customer. hehehehe

Hehe, I know who bought it too (not me, couldn''t be, but I know who!)

I''m sure once she gets it she''ll post lots of pics :)

Thanks! Have you contacted him about any rough he has in that color? I think it is very unique in terms of the colors we usually see. It feels kinda vintage and cinnamon-like. I know he had posted that one picture of all the malaya rough he has and it runs between lighter pinks to peachy pinks to this one that has more spess in it.

NOW - who got 849??? And it can''t have a name like 849! It reminds me of a fresh flower.

Given the economy, I wish more faceters had layaway plans.

oh no, i would buy way too much if they all offered layaway plans

btw cinnamon, that''s a beautiful stone. any ideas on how you are going to mount it?

That is awfully considerate of Gene to offer such a payment play for established clients considering how tough the economy is.

Well I have an umbalite one in that shape (my current avatar) and have talked to several Etsy designers and learned prongs would be best. I''ve got an email into Sally at Heart of Water asking her about the most inexpensive pendant setting she could do for me in gold so I could get the umbalite set and actually enjoy it more than just looking at it in the little box. She is going to give me some other ideas tomorrow once she gives it some thought. I might send her my umbalite when I send her those teal and orange Barry stones. She has several adorable ring setting ideas that would work but I don''t have the $$ for them (although they are actually really affordable). I''m just really conservative with spending too much.

I also super like the setting from american set on ebay that brown eyed girl put a stone into a month or two ago. It''s a trellis setting that would be affordable. I really need to set both of them on a budget, otherwise, I''d go all out and have Sally do rings for them. Who knows? If the orange one is really special, I will do that, it will just take some time.

I know who got it too. She was being quite secretive about it though...

Hey cinnamon,
have you read on the etsy thread about the safest ways to send gems to Sally?

Of course it is up to you, but I''m not sure if I would put more than 2 in a package - just incase, kwim? Spread the risk, kinda thing..

Either way, sounds like you are going to have some lovely pieces before not too long, and I agree that your new gem does suit your screen name well!

I have Gene''s 849 malaya....she''s a beauty....I posted her photo in the peachy/pink thread right after I got her.

I know the feeling FF.....I jumped on this one as soon as I saw that it was still available as I''ve missed out on quite a few beauties. Let Gene know what you''re looking for and he''ll find it for you.

Photos to come and no setting ideas yet....

Lori
