If so do you have pics?

I love that dress from pictures, I have been having a heck of a time trying to find a dress. I haven''t gotten the wow factor yet.
I am going to try this one on, on saturday. So far I know that mermaids are out, but slim A-lines hugging hips is a good look for me.

Hi Mustang. Haven''t tried that one on, but have tried on some other slim A-line Maggies in past posts, if you''d like to check them out.

I haven''t tried it on, but I just wanted to say HI!!!!!

I don''t think that dress existed when I was shopping so I never tried it on, but I can''t wait to see it on you!

I second what Robbie said- I have NEVER noticed or seen that dress before, but WOW! You better get pictures because I am dying to see what that dress looks like on you!

There are some Raylia Coutures that have a similar style and color, too, if you want to check them out. Just make sure to try it on first (see my Raylia post if you do try it on)...

Oh my- that is one gorgeous gown.
I don''t remember coming across it before either, but wow can''t wait to see photos of it on a ''real'' person!

Hey, MustangFan, nice to see you again! I love that dress, hope it works out for you! Did you choose a venue, yet?

Hi Selkie!

I guess I missed your wedding pics what title do I search under to see them?

Yes, I ended up cancelling the Winery that was 2 hours away and going with the Lobster Shanty which is in my home town of point pleasant, nj

You can view a couple of pictures on their website above.

It was newly renovated in 2005 and has a panaramic water view. I might do the River Belle for a rehearsal dinner, modeled after an old Mississippi paddle boat I was going to go that for the wedding, but wanted it a little more formal and it was more expensive for that then the more formal place.

My theme is Vintage, I want a whole vintage theme. I''m going to book a 1960''s stretch checkered cab. My girls are going to wear a tea length dress http://a6.dessy.com/index.cfm?go=dresses&style=A6503 in claret. I want leopard peek-a-boo toe heels, and bird cage viels. I was looking through my FMIL''s wedding album and FI''s aunt Val was wearing a birdcage viel to her wedding. Someone gave me this funny look, that I was going to have my girls wear birdcage viels., but it was period of the time to do that. I have been trying to research weddings with a retro theme, but have been falling short, so I''m just going with what I like.

Anyway I said to the lady in the bridal store, there must be something wrong with me to have picked the bridemaid dress before mine, and love the bridesmaid dressl, but not loved a single dress that I''ve tried on lol
So yes, I''m hoping that this has the "wow" factor, because I''m sick of making appointments.

Hi Mustang!

I haven''t tried on the Vogue Royale, but I actually saw it on a manequin when I was trying on a different dress. It was very, very pretty and I probably would have asked to try it on if I hadn''t fallen in love with a different dress from the same collection. The detailing was lovely, and it looked very flattering on the manequin.

If you''d like, I can try to remember more about it... I can definitely tell you that everything from her newest collection is just breathtaking.

Which dress did you fall in love with? I''d love to see it!

What kind of cut would you consider the Vogue Royale dress to be? It''s not a mermaid, would it be consdiered a silm a-line?
It hugs to the top of the hip

I fell in love with the Rhianna Royale. I literally burst into tears when I saw myself in it, and I am not exactly your typical "cry at the drop of a hat" girl, so... I knew it was something special.

The Maggie website calls the Vogue Royale a "one-piece, corset, strapless, slim A-line gown." I''m not good at labels

but I''ve used this guide from time to time and it''s helpful. I''d say, remembering back, it was fairly slim and hugging around the top part of the mannequin but definitely flowed as it got further down. It would have an ample train to it, but nothing too long. (Of course, I''m biased, since it has a similar train length to my dress.

xiuying

yours is so similar, I love it!

If I don''t look good in this dress, I''m working out!! lol

I have more of an hour glass figure

Your venue looks great! But then, I approve of anything having to do with lobster! I love the idea of the vintage theme. There''s so much great stuff out there to work with.

My wedding was so much fun, story and pics are here:
first thread, non-pro pics
and here: pro pics.

I called it the Perfect Storm because we had a massive thunderstorm that threw our plans out of whack, but worked out for the best in the end!

Best of luck! Let us know how it goes!

Well...........

I have to say it was the only dress that actually looked like I had boobs! So I like it! lol
but seriously I loved it, I caught myself saying I loooove it! and my mom who is not impressed with anything was like oooohh wooooww, so I think it''s "the" dress. Sorry for the poor picture quality I forgot my real camera.

It looks great on you! Are you planning on trying more, or is this THE ONE?

Ditto what Selkie said. It looks like a nice match for you! I like the veil as well. Is this IT?

aww thanx guys!!!

I "think" this is it, I might go back tomorrow to this place just to make sure that this is "the one", but I think it has a great vintage feel, yet sexy, but not too sexy for church, classy sexy hehehe. I am liking the sweetheart neckline and the slim a-line look on me, just need to workout alittle bit, but I have 10 months! They are very reasonable the dress is the place is the same internet price minus the discount and the sales tax, it''s not worth saving the $350 dollars to have to find a good seamstress, the people there were nice, and professional so, I''m going to buy it from them. They said I should order right before Christmas, because some dress companies take 1 to 2 months off for the holidays.

Selkie, I enjoyed the pix from your wedding, that is so ironic with the over the rainbow song. I loooove the 1931 Model-A I showed FI and he was drooling hehehe

Hi,

Does anyone know the difference between the vogue and the vogue royale? I love this dress and think that it''s so lovely. Do you the price ranges? Does it varies at different boutiques?

Thanks,
Nai

I had tried on the Vogue on one of my trips about three-four weeks ago, and I think the main difference is the train, there could be others, but thats the one that sticks out the most at me.

Vogue Royale at the cheapest price the Maggie Sottero lowest retail price is $1490 I believe
The Vogue dress has a smaller train and it about $1000

Hi, i love the Vogue Royale too, ive tried on the shops in the UK, but its £1200! so am hoping to buy from the US. Does anyone have the measurements of the standard length from bust to floor at the front? Also more pics in the white or the ivory would be great...

And any tips on complimentry viels, long or short? oooh too many decisions
Thanks
