Dispersion in step cut sphenes - oh pandora & chrono please

Just wondering if a sphene, in a step cut, like this:

would do bars of dispersive color (like an asscher does)?

I don''t know for sure as I''ve not seen one IRL, but I made enquires about a yellow/green stepcut octagonal one and the vendor said he wouldn''t recommend it if I was looking for dispersion.
