I have found a beautiful garden that I would love to have my wedding at. It is a shakespearean garden with seats cutt out of the hill. Georgeous!! However, it is an hour and a half away. I feel like no one would attend the wedding being too far to drive. Is an hour and a half too far? My dream wedding is a large wedding and I do not think I could have a big wedding that far away.
If it is too far - Would you recommend me having a smaller wedding at the location I want or a larger wedding at a location I do not want it at?
Thank you for your help!!

A dear friend of mine is having her wedding an hour and a half away from where we all live.
She is treating it as she would a destination wedding, and guests will be expected to stay the night and partake
in weekend activities.

Are there nice accomodations near the location of your ceremony? If it rains, would you still want to have it there?
Would your guests want to spend a weekend there? Those are all things to consider.

Several other friends of mine have had weddings at mountain resort type places where guests rented cabins and stayed the weekend.
They were lovely weddings, but required a bit more commitment from the guests than just a day event would.

Good luck planning!
