Has anyone been to/used www.paper-source.com for invitations? It's an awesome(!) website. Since I'm not sure what kind of invitation I want, I just looked around and found the cutest petal invitations. They have DIY instructions for each type of invitation and a list of all that you need!

For fun, I put almost everything I WOULD need (including response cards and envelopes for around 70 invitations into my shopping cart and it came out to $140.00. For 70 invitations and reception cards WITH envelopes!

All I'd need is to pay kinkos to print the invites, a bottle of adhesive, stamps, and I'd be set.

Pretty exciting, I'd say. Any red flags I'm missing in my excitement?

We are using Paper Source for our envelopes. I am also going to get our embosser from there. I LOVE THAT SITE! So many cute things to do fun things with- even beyond invitations.

There prices are reasonable.
I have a few samples too and the quality is great!

I recommend them for sure!!

you''re good to go. it''s a great site. they have lots to offer.

hmm, I will have to check it out... invites, I have no idea where to start! thanks for sharing the site, EBree

From personal experience Kinko''s is SO overpriced and not very friendly or the best printing. The only change I would make in your plan is to go to a small printing shop (sir speedy type places not huge printing houses) Get quotes.

That sounds like a great idea, thanks! :)

I'm so excited about these invitations. I re-worked some numbers and the $140 *includes* postage! They're going to look quite a bit like those at whiteaisle.com (I'm going to buy a couple hi-res modern floral graphics I found online) but with the petal enclosures.

Yay!

paper-source is local for me, and i LOVE that store. I can easily blow $50 there just buying cute cards and such. THe kits are great.

I second printing somewhere else. I printed all my stuff at Staples and it was cheap. They have this thing where you exchange old printer cartridges for $3 credit on any purchase $3 or more. I turned in about 20 of those cartridges (from work... hehe) and saved SO MUCH on all my wedding printing. They only allow one credit per purchase but i just had them ring up each of my print jobs separately...

I just found out it''s local for me too! I''ve actually been there several times (its within walking distance from FIs work

), but didn''t remember the name when I''d found it online. Weirdly enough, I just got a catalog from them in the mail yesterday. I think that''s a sign!

Ebree- which ones are you thinking about?

We are ordering our cardstock (to print our own invites and responses), envelopes (for the invitations and responses) and an embosser from Paper Source. Everything is so affordable and I AM SO EXCITED!

If we're having our garden wedding, I'm going to do these (Style 1, without the sash or ribbon):
Petal Invitations

I think the petal wraps are cute and will go with the "flower theme".

Ebree, where do you live?

Ebree, where do you live?

I live in Los Angeles, and FI works in Pasadena (where the store is!). We're actually moving to Pasadena at the end of May.

Ebree- that will be so cute! You will have to show us the finished product when you are done.
My friend is making my invitations and she ordered a few samples of the paper to see what she thought and it came in 2 days. So even if you didn''t live in the same town (lucky! I would go there all the time. I am such a paper addict) they would come quickly.

Good luck with them! The petal enclosures are perfect for the garden wedding!

Ebree,

I love Papersource! I did my own Save the dates and bought all the materials from there. they were so helpful and their stuff is so cute~! They also have a location in Beverly Hills where I went to.

Thank you! I''ll go by the store tonight and see what they have. Oh, and you''ll see pictures of the finished result!

papersource is local??? YAHOO!!
Pasadena, here I come!

After you posted this the other day I spent lots of time looking at all their decorative paper. It''s beautiful!! If anyone knows of anyother good websites that have similar stuff, would you mind suggesting them as well? Thanks!

Is $140 for 70 invitations reasonable? Most of the ones I've looked at were like $80 for 100.
