DIY Memory Boxes

Just wanted to share the DIY portion of my BM gift. I made them memory boxes. Got wooden boxes, letters, stain, and wood glue from Michaels, and my Mom had some of the stretchy velvet material. When you''re staining, make sure you leave the boxes open to dry, or they will get glued shut! Learned that one the hard way! But here they are, the smaller one is for the flower girl.

I''m going to put their jewelery in it, and also, a personal note to each of them with my favorite memory of them. I also got them a personalized mini-tote.

Thanks! I''m not really that creative, just on a tight budget! I knew I had wanted to do something like a memory box, but the cheapest decent one I could find was 25 dollars, and when you multiply that by 7, I wouldn''t have room to buy much else. So, I was just perusing Michael''s and figured out from what they out how to do it.
