Okay, ladies. I am now at the point where I am starting to think about some of the little details of the day. I have seen some cute DIY projects in some of the knot bios (like the hanging letters covered in blooms). But I am not a seasoned knottie and find PS much more user friendly. So I was wondering if you guys could post some of the DIY projects you have done or are doing for your ceremony or receptions. By the way if anyone knows where I can find directions on those flowered letters, I would appreciate that.

Anyhow, I am just looking for some fun projects that even I may be capable of doing :)

I''m making my veil. It''s very simple to do. I''m buying tulle to stitch onto a basic hair comb. The comb will be tucked into my hair out of site mostly, so it doesn''t have to be fancy. If you go to michaels.com, they even have instructions how to do it. After seeing the prices for veils at David''s this is my route.

One of my bridesmaids who is really arty and crafty (more than me) is making our bouquets. They aren''t flower bouquets, but hand-tied, thin wire; adding beading to it and making them in lilly shapes. Saving a ton of money since I''m not really going to use flowers.

But then I''m doing a bunch of off-the-beaten-path stuff.

ky6,

Here's Selflove's thread about DIY flowers...bouquets and centerpieces:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-died-and-went-to-heaven-at-the-flower-market.39792/=

She said she estimates she'll spend less than $250 on flowers, which is I'm budgeting for flowers too. That's quite a deal, especially when you consider that some are paying thousands for theirs. One PSer said they're budgeting $5k for flowers alone!
