DJ price

I was quoted AUD740 for 5 hrs of service from my venue''s DJ.

Is this reasonable? Do you think I can negotiate a lower price?

I have asked if MC service and lighting set up is included in this price too (hoping they are).

From my research, $740 for 5 hours seems pretty reasonable if he also provides an MC service., if he doesn''t then it seems a little steep.

Should I ask him about his qualifications etc? I mean... he''s charging me that much for 5 hours of work... i want to know he really knows what he''s doing.

Maybe i should ask for a resume... is that too mean?

See if they have contact information for couples who''ve used their services previously to see if they would recommend the DJ. Also, ask if they have any DVD''s or video''s of them in action so you can watch them in action.
