Do You Have a Favorite Gold Designer?

Ladies,
I''m looking for a scarf made of gold mesh. Any suggestions?

Ha! I saw a pretty lace ribbon made of gold that can be wrapped around your neck or wrist. Overpriced, I''m afraid.

Thanks! I''ll see if I can rustle anything up on 47th St.

Contact Grunberger's in Stamford, Connecticut. Have you seen a picture of mine? Mine is custom made, but I believe they stock normal size 18K scarves made in Italy. I like them so much more than the Elsa Peretti ones that it isn't worth discussion! I researched the heck out of this topic before deciding on taking the route I did.

Ah, a shortcut. I have seen a picture of your scarf and will give Grunberger''s a call. Thanks, Deborah.

This is a picture of my gold mesh necklace. I do not believe that I have posted it in this thread before, but I may be wrong! There is a lot hidden in this thread!

HI:

Deb--I love love to see some neckshots of your necklace. It is very elegant!

Harriett: I know I have seen some mesh necklaces recently--b/c I thought of Deb!--but for the life of me I cannot recall where. H. Stern???? (age and infermity)

cheers--Sharon

Sharon and crown1,

I am afraid the only neck shot I have of it is over a very inelegant blue and white striped Ralph Lauren big shirt! I have none of myself wearing it nicely dressed. I am the photographer in the household, you see.

This is the only neck shot I have of the scarf. I guess it helps to show its length.

Do you mean how many pieces of yellow gold jewelry? Including small ones? I have worn yellow gold jewelry all my life and have many inexpensive, every day pieces in yellow gold.

thanks for the pretty picture!

Anyone who wants to discuss Gurhan can now do it here at home, where we have the archives at our fingertips! If anyone is going to call the store diamondseeker visited, please make your reports here in this thread!

(Diamondseeker started a thread in which she announced that she had found a store in which Gurhan jewelry was going to be 50% off. This thread was closed at the time of the announcement, but Andrey has re-opened it. Thank you, Andrey!)

Here is the new thread that was started to announce the 50% sale:

Well, I am learning from the best. :)

What I meant was whether I should go with Gurhan for the link bracelet or someone else. Help!

Oh! I guess that depends on whether this is the look you want or you want something different! Since this is the Gurhan look and I own a lot of Gurhan jewelry it happens to match much of the jewelry I have bought in the past five years! So the answer would be simple for me; I''d buy the Gurhan if I wanted a link bracelet.

What would suit your needs best, I do not know. What are you looking for? :-)

Hi Deb,
Just a link bracelet in high carat gold. I'm afraid I may strain your patience, newcomer to gold that I am.

Highly unlikely :-). We who live in this gold thread live to discuss high karat gold. Sharon and MZ have a lot more experience with chains than I do, however.

As I said, the Gurhan bracelet you found was one I would buy in the blink of an eye if I would wear a link bracelet, because it would match so much jewelry that I have so absolutely perfectly. It is the perfect bracelet for someone who owns and wears hammered high karat old. If you already wear Gurhan, it would be the ultimate finishing touch!

If you want a plain, shiny link bracelet made of high karat gold I am sure that there are plenty of bracelets out there. Where else have you looked? I am sure that Sharon and MZ will be glad to help you look, as will I!!!

I mean, gee, looking for gold jewelry...it's a hard job, but someone has to do it, right?

HI:

Harriett:

H. Stern and Verdura are options. DVF for H. Stern has a lovely bracelet in her Sutra collection; altho perhaps not in 22k.

cheers--Sharon

The same jeweler also carried H Stern, but I didn''t see any that I liked. They had a bunch of rings with big stones that looked like costume jewelry.
