Do You Have a Favorite Gold Designer?

Thanks, innerkitten.

DS, I don''t care for H. Stern''s gems myself.

I''m glad to see this thread is still going!

This guy has a nice link bracelet. I''ve posted links to his stuff before. He does custom too.

I''m amazed I didn''t know this seller, innerkitten! If I read his profile correctly, he''s been on eBay for as long as I have and he has 100% positive feedback. Given that he''s selling high karat gold jewelry, I would have thought I would be familiar with him! I didn''t see anything on his website that startled me, but then again all the designers copy each other and I look at their jewelry all the time! It is nice to have this site as a resource. Thank you for posting it!

Skippy, dear, does the word, "enabler" mean anything to you? ;-)

Seriously...this is seriously right down my alley. I bookmarked the page before typing this reply. And that is not good! I cannot afford jewelry now. Really, I cannot!

Umm...I like the Scribble Trinity Hoops in white and yellow gold with pavé diamonds. I used to wear only the smallest earrings, usually small pearls, but now I do not like people''s attention to stay on my face! It''s true! As I got older I realized that I had unconsciously taken for granted that I wanted people''s eyes drawn to my face. I used makeup sparingly. I wore small earrings. I sometimes wore my hair in a knot on top of my head.

Now If I have my hair up, I would consider a pair of large earrings...even though that doesn''t really feel like "me". :-)

I have a vague recollection of that and think there may even be a reference to it somewhere in this thread! I have very limited time at the computer now due to personal reasons, but maybe one of the other regulars on the thread has time to look it up for you. Sharon? MZ? Skippy? Anybody?

Lucky you!! I adore Bucellati. Have some inspired pieces, just not the same, I''m sure. Loving their bracelets.... Sigh, so pretty, and so well made.

I''m not sure I can bring myself to pay their prices though. Can you? I''ll be going to Florence later this year. Shall I wait till then? Florence has extremely interesting gold pieces.

My Daughter is in Florence now, and is on the look out for me....

Bucellati is amazing. With the Euro what it is I doubt there will be any bargains, but I love their pieces. Lisa, how fun! I hope she is having a ball!

She went to the Ponte de Vecchio, (SP) today, and had a blast. Her Hotel is right by the Duomo. She''s there till Mid July, lucky girl.

I do not think I would have been as confident as she is to go there...but this generation is so capable!

Kaleigh,
Do keep us posted as to the gold market in Florence.

Chrono found this place: http://www.terriely.com/store/cart.php Design aside (they do custom work), what do you think of their handwork and prices?

It's good to have the link in this thread. That having been said, it's not really my thing. It has too many skulls; it has very little high karat gold; and I did not see a great deal of variety or a great deal of innovation. Not every gold jewelry website has to be Gurhan, however! It is nice to know that there are sites like this where one can go to look at gold jewelry when one wants to look. I did like the tri-color stacking rings, too. I had never seen ones exactly like the ones pictured there.

Thank Chrono for forwarding the link!
