Do You Have a Favorite Gold Designer?

I was asking about the bracelet in post#1781. It looks as if it is made out of gold foil. I wish I had a bracelet like that without stones. It reminds me a little of two Cartier bracelets worn together that I saw in the branded pieces thread, but more delicate. Who works in gold foil? I wonder if I can find anything like that bracelet on-line!

Deb :wavey:

Oh, that is Florentine finish on a 14k bangle.

A gorgeous tassel necklace I just found in my pics. I do not know any details about it sorry! But thought you might enjoy seeing it anyway.

That's super pretty Missy!

The tassel necklace is beautiful, missy. But you just found the picture on your computer? Not on the 'net? Do you collect images you like and save them? I do. I find assorted images all over my computer!

Haha yes this is from my phone and not the internet...when I see pretty bling in real life I take photos if possible.
And in this case this tassel necklace was at that same antique jewelry show in NYC last March where I shared some other photos with you in this thread I believe. There is a bigger antique jewelry show in October (JAWS) that many PSers attended as did I with a few of the NIRDI girls and we had a blast. I go every year to the October show long may that continue.

The March show is not as active and I only went to that once or twice I think. This photo is from when I went to the 2017 March show with my dh. And I have so many photos I am sure there are others that would fit right into this thread. My organizational skills need work and I apologize for not having them easily at hand to share. When I found this one the other day I immediately thought of you Deb and thought you would enjoy seeing it despite my lack of knowledge regarding the piece. What I know for sure...it is yellow gold. And beautiful.

You know a great deal more about this image than I do about many images I find, missy! You even took the photograph yourself! Thank you very much for thinking of me and sharing it.

When I said that I find images on my computer, I did not mean that I merely lacked "organizational skills". I find images that I picked up on the Internet (and I have no idea where). Sometimes they are jewelry; sometimes they are other people's dogs; and often they are cakes and cupcakes with a lot of icing! That pretty much covers my passions. ;))

Bigs hugs, you great sweetheart, you!
(((missy)))

Aww thanks Deb and big (((hugs))) to you too. :kiss2:
By the way I was talking about my lack of organizational skills. Not referring to your organizational skills which are definitely superior to mine!

My “new” 18k yellow gold anchor pendant. From addysvintage.

I love that necklace, missy! I went through a "phase" when I was young when I loved only necklaces that went right around my throat as that one appears to. I wonder if I still have the yellow gold one I had custom made. Somehow I don't think so. I haven't seen it in years. Maybe it was lost in my burglary back when I was first married! Was that custom made?* Please tell us more about it!

Deb :wavey:

*I just saw it was from a vintage store, so I guess not. Sorry! I was excited and rushing!

Hi Deb! The gold choker (I think that’s 14k gold) is from my mom and I will ask her if she remembers any details about it as she gave it to me a long time ago. I’m not sure I’ll wear the anchor on it however as I’m not sure it falls properly on my neck but I have many gold chains that will accommodate the anchor so I have options. Here’s a pic of it on my neck for illustrative purposes.

Thank you Bluegemz! Maybe I will wear it this way then given you think it looks nice. Thank you for the feedback :wavey:

Really gorgeous on you, Missy! I love the gold neck ring!

I, also, love it on you, missy. It really shows off your beautiful neck! I wouldn't think about how the anchor hangs on it; the features I notice are your neck, the gold collar, and the anchor. Not the way the anchor hangs! But that is only my opinion. The most important thing is how you feel about yourself when you are wearing the anchor! :))

Wear it in good health!

Hugs,
Deb :wavey:

This is such a great thread for gold lovers !!! Is it closed for posting? I really hope not :(

When I asked my financial advisor if I should buy gold, she said, « Only if you can wear it in your wrist, honey! » so I went to eBay and bought a vintage Tiffany bracelet. I always take her advice very seriously. Lol
I like that the underside looks like little dog bisquits.

Some of it can tend to look very old fashioned and traditional nevertheless I love the look feel and weight of it!
This pendant and earrinE70BBCE6-C17A-4860-B0C3-5D27C807CA39.jpeg g set is with uncut diamonds set in 22k gold and is called polki in India, I actually like the chain that this came with...

This flat woven bracelet is Turkish and the coin bracelet is Arabian I love the tinkling sounds it makes with the coins!

Ellen, I love yellow gold too and am starting to come around to prefering it. (Maybe because it is a fall color!) Your collection is Beautiful, thank you for sharing.

Gorgeous pieces @EllenS1. I appreciate all the different metals and while platinum was always my favorite I do love rich buttery yellow gold too. And rubies and yellow gold are scrumptious. And well, cats go with absolutely everything.:kiss2::sun:
