I had the diamond my aunt left me reset into this yellow gold stuller setting. The diamond is .78 carats, and from 1953-54.
I love that you reset your aunt’s diamond. It looks so pretty in the new setting..

@Daisys and Diamonds I do too! I’m reworking a few things right now. Ashlee..my antique elongated asscher is going into a very simple setting. It won’t be too exciting for anyone else to see but for me it’s something I’ve been looking forward to.

This is what I sent David for the first draw up of the design..I also added a pic of a ring that has straight baguettes set like I would like the new setting to have. I can’t draw to save my life but I wanted you to see what this man puts up with..haha
I can't wait to see this ring! I am particularly interested in the flower engraving. And it's fun to see your lovely handwriting too!

Thank you@odetteodile! I’ve been through two cads so far with David. It’s usually one and done. I decided to ask for a plastic model. He said he was going to be sending one. I made quite a few changes to the last cad. I hope this is it. I’m still sticking to the drawing...but I’m trying to make him understand what I want. I thought my drawing was clear.
My new necklace is done and home. I’m very happy with the way it turned out. While having this project done I also had him cut my eternity necklace and put a chain on the back. I never wore it as the flipping drove me crazy. Now it does not flip.
Beautiful pieces and clever resets. Do you mind sharing more about the clover piece. Size of diamonds, back of setting if not too much trouble.
The piece caught my eye and looks like it would be very versatile.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad you like it. Each clover is made up of four 20 pt diamonds with the center diamond being 10 pts. Each clover is around 11mm in size.

I got a .75 ct heart diamond (which I’ve always wanted!) for my 30th birthday. Set it in a white gold bezel ring kind of like the Tiffany bezet - but truly never wore it (google image picture below).
It was pretty, but sat in my jewelry box for 7 years. Last summer I had Grace Lavarro reset it into a rose gold pendant and I haven’t taken it off once in a year!

Thank you. They get much more wear now so I consider the changes successful. I have a couple more to do but taking my time. I think, like everyone, as time goes by I learn what works for me and what doesn’t.
